A drug for cats and dogs for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the eyes and nose.
Drops anti-inflammatory “Divopride” – a combined veterinary drug, the therapeutic effect of which is due to the pharmacological properties of the active substances included in its composition.
Gentamicin is characterized by a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. Active against most gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Indole-positive and indole-negative Proteus spp., Enterobacter spp., Providencia stuatrii, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Acinetobacter spp., Anaerobic gram-positive cocci: Staphylococcus sap … (Ey including penicillin resistant). Resistance of microorganisms to gemamycin develops slowly, but strains resistant to neomycin and kanamycin are also resistant to gentamycin. Gentamicin is practically not absorbed into the blood when instilled into the conjunctival sac. Penetrates into the aqueous humor of the anterior chamber of the eye, the vitreous body and corneal tissue, but is not found in the lens. The maximum levels of gentamicin are observed within 30 minutes after administration,

Dexamethasone is a synthetic fluorinated glucocorticosteroid. It has a pronounced pro-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect.
Interacting with a specific protein receptor in target tissues, it regulates the expression of GCS-dependent genes and thus affects protein synthesis. Stabilization of lysosomal enzymes of lekyocyte membranes; inhibits the synthesis of kinins, mitosis and migration of leukocytes inhibits the synthesis of antibodies and disrupts the recognition of the intigens. All of these effects are involved in suppressing the inflammatory response in tissues in response to mechanical, chemical, or immune damage.
The duration of the anti-inflammatory action after the instillation of 1 drop of the solution is from 4 to 8 hours. When applied topically, systemic absorption is low. After instillation into the eye, it penetrates well into the epithelium of the cornea and the conjunctiva, while therapeutic concentrations are achieved in the aqueous humor of the eye, with inflammation or damage to the mucous membrane, the rate of penetration increases.

A small amount of dexamethasone enters the systemic circulation. About 60-70% of dexamethasone entering the systemic circulation binds to plasma proteins. Metabolized in the liver by the cytochrome enzyme; metabolites are excreted through the intestines.

The half-life is on average three hours.
The drug is used to treat cats and dogs with infectious and inflammatory diseases of the eyes and nose caused by microorganisms sensitive to gentamicin. In case of allergic processes of the anterior part of the eye, complicated by a bacterial infection, as well as for the purpose of prophylaxis and treatment of inflammatory phenomena in the postoperative period.
