100 ml of the preparation contains the following active ingredients:
Butaphosphane – 10.0 g;
cyanocobalamin – 0.005 g.
Excipients: butanol, sodium hydroxide, water for injection.
Catosal 10% is a metabolic stimulant and tonic.
The active substances that make up the drug exhibit a stimulating effect on all metabolic processes in the body (protein, carbohydrate and fat), increase the body’s resistance to adverse factors that promote the growth and development of animals.
Phosphorus, which is part of the drug, affects almost all assimilation processes that occur in the body. It is contained in a form that is excreted from the body. Organic phosphorus preparations, due to their exclusively physiological type of action, are excellent general metabolic stimulants. This is supported by the fact that side effects such as palpitations, tremors, increased sweating, and the like, which are often seen with other tonics, are not observed. In addition, the responsiveness of smooth muscle organs is enhanced.
Catosal in therapeutic doses acts mainly on the skeletal system, stimulates organs with smooth muscles (urinary system, gallbladder) and heart muscle. Acute and chronic metabolic disorders are well corrected by Catosal 10%.
Vitamin B₁₂ (cyanocobalamin) stimulates protein, hydrocarbon and fat metabolism, has a positive effect on red blood cells, and stimulates their growth.
