Pharmacological properties
Lactic acid is a product of anaerobic digestion of carbohydrates.
When administered orally, 2-3% aqueous solution has antiseptic, antifungal, antispasmodic properties, promotes better evacuation of chyme through the digestive tract. When applied topically has a disinfectant (1-2% aqueous solution of lactic acid), keratolytic (10% aqueous solution of lactic acid) and cauterizing (30-40% aqueous solution of lactic acid) action.
Application
Used externally as a 10-40% aqueous solution of lactic acid for ulcers of the skin and mucous membranes; for cauterization of keratinous layers, new growths, warts, calluses. In cows with trichomoniasis in complex therapy do vaginal douching with 1% aqueous solution of lactic acid.
When administered orally, it has antiseptic, antifungal action, relieves spasms of the gastric sphincters, promotes the movement of feed masses in the intestine.
Outwardly, the drug is used in the form of aqueous solutions of lactic acid:
10-40% – with ulcers of the skin and mucous membranes;
20-25% – for cauterization of keratinized layers, neoplasms;
10-30% – for cauterization of warts, calluses;
10% – as a keratolytic agent.
Contraindications:
Do not use for acidosis.
Warning:
Dissolve in water to the desired concentration before use.
Release form:
Solution in glass or polyethylene bottles of 100 and 500 ml.
Storage:
The drug is stored in the manufacturer’s container in closed rooms at a temperature from minus five to 25 ° C.
