Test strips with fluorescein low molecular weight FluoStrips, ophthalmic, 100 pcs
FluoStrips ophthalmic test strips are used to diagnose epithelial damage to the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye.
The active substance used: yellow dye – low molecular weight fluorescein. Each ophthalmic test strip contains 1 mg of Fluorescein Sodium.
To improve the performance of the test, you can moisten the colored part of the strip in saline.
Touch the moistened colored portion of the strip to the conjunctiva or cornea. Then an inspection is carried out on a slit lamp with a cobalt filter.
When staining the cornea: the test is regarded as positive if any number of defects are found in the corneal epithelium
