Boflox, 100 ml

Product composition:
Marbofloxacin – 100 mg.
Solvent – up to 1 ml.

Purpose:
cattle: treatment of animals with respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms (Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni), as well as patients with acute mastitis caused by E. coli sensitive to marbofloxacin.
Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from metritis-mastitis-agalkactia syndrome, as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to marbofloxacin.

Dosage and method of administration:
Cattle in a dose: in the treatment of respiratory infections caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni, intramuscularly at a dose of 8 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight (2 ml of the drug per 25 kg of body weight) once.
In the treatment of acute mastitis caused by strains of E. coli intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 2 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of the drug per 50 kg of body weight once a day. The course of treatment is 3 days. The first injection can also be given intravenously. If the dose volume exceeds 20 ml, it must be divided and injected into two or more sites.
Pigs: intramuscularly at a dose of 2 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight or 1 ml of the drug per 50 kg of body weight once a day. The course of treatment is 3 days.
In cattle and pigs, the drug should be injected into the neck area. To correctly determine the dose, it is necessary to accurately measure the body weight (as far as possible) in order to avoid the introduction of an insufficient dose. The bottle cap can be pierced safely 30 times.

Contraindications:
Do not apply Boflox to animals with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or other components of the drug. Do not use if specific pathogen is resistant to other fluoroquinolones (cross-resistance).

Withdrawal period:
Cattle: 8 mg / kg once (VM): meat – 3 days; milk – 72 hours.
2 mg / kg for 3 or 5 days (BB, PSh, VM): meat – 6 days, milk – 36 hours.
Pigs (sows): meat – 4 days.
Pregnant animals are allowed to use the drug only after a careful assessment of the benefit / risk ratio by the responsible veterinarian.

Storage:
Boflox should be stored in a dark, dry place, out of reach of children, at temperatures from + 5 ° C to + 25 ° C.
