Kiltix Collar for dogs (propoxur, flumethrin) 48 cm
Description:
Yellow polyvinyl tape bearing the Bayer trademark with 2 or 3 fixing loops.
Compound:
1 g of a collar contains active ingredients:
- propoxur – 0.1 g;
- Flumethrin – 0.0225 g.
Excipients: dibutyl adipate, propylene glycol, octanoate decanoate, epoxidized soybean oil, stearic acid, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron oxide, polyvinyl chloride.
Pharmacological properties:
Propoxur and flumethrin, which are part of the collar, are gradually released from the surface of the tape, are transferred to the skin and hair of the animal and show a synergistic action, while the insect-acaricidal and repellent effect on insects and ixodid ticks parasitizing dogs is enhanced. The collar is well tolerated by animals, does not have local irritating and skin resorptive properties. Toxic to fish and bees.
Application:
Prevention and treatment of dogs with ectoparasites: fleas (Ctenocephalides canis / felis, Pulex irritans) and parasitiform ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor spp., Rhipicephalus spp.).
Dosage:
For large breeds of dogs – a collar 66 cm (45 g) long, for medium breeds of dogs – 48 cm (30.2 g), for small breeds of dogs – 35 cm (12.5 g).
After opening the package, the collar is unfolded, thin plastic partitions on the inside are removed and loosely fastened around the dog’s neck so that there is a gap of 2 fingers between the neck and the collar, then fasten it with a buckle. The collar should be loose around the neck and not restrain the growth of the animal. A properly fitted collar should move freely when secured.
Continuous use of the Kiltix® collar for medium and large dogs provides protection of the animal from ectoparasites for 7 months, for small dogs – 6 months. The duration and level of protection depends on the length, density and condition of the animal’s coat, as well as on the degree of damage by ectoparasites. If the effectiveness of the collar decreases, it must be replaced with a new one. The collar must be removed before bathing animals. Significant hydration of the animal’s fur and skin (rain, bathing, swimming) reduces the collar’s effectiveness.
Note:
Along with the treatment of animals against ectoparasites, it is necessary to periodically clean, wash and treat with appropriate means the places of residence of the animals (baskets for animals, bedding, resting places for animals, animal care items, etc.).
Contraindications:
Do not use other insecticidal preparations simultaneously with the collar. Do not use on sick or weakened animals.
