Prodevit – Tetra (A, D3, E, F) – 100ml  for injection

Description

A transparent oily liquid from light yellow to light brown in color with a specific smell of vitamins.

Storage

1 ml of the drug contains active substances:

• vitamin A 50,000 IU;
• vitamin D3 25,000 IU;
• vitamin E 20.0 mg;
• vitamin F 5.0 mg.

Excipients: sunflower oil.

Pharmacological properties

The action of the drug is due to the properties of the vitamins included in its composition.

Vitamin A stimulates the growth and non-specific resistance of the body, the differentiation of epithelial cells of the skin and mucous membranes of the respiratory and urinary tracts and the digestive tract, ensures optimal functioning of the organs of vision. Deficiency of vitamin A disrupts metabolic processes, eyesight, reproductive function, increases keratinization of mucous membranes, which is accompanied by the development of bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, enterocolitis, endometritis, and retards the growth of young animals.

Vitamin D regulates phosphorus-calcium exchange, stimulates the absorption of both macroelements in the intestines, synthesis of the organic matrix of bone tissue and their mineralization, synthesis of proteins, lipids, hormones, enzymes, strengthens resistance, affects the formation of the fetus. With a lack of vitamin D, rickets, osteodystrophy, pre- and post-partum dependence, hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia, litter retention, uterine subinvolutions develop.

Vitamin E prevents oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, female and male infertility, stimulates spermiogenesis and fetal development, ensures structural and functional stability of cell membranes. With its deficiency, young birds develop encephalomalacia, exudative diathesis, muscular dystrophy, white muscle disease; in lambs, piglets, calves – defeat of muscles, liver, heart.

Vitamin F lowers the cholesterol content and coagulation properties of the blood, promotes the metabolism of fats in the body, and increases the level of albumins. With a lack of vitamin F in the body of animals, there is an increase in cholesterol and beta-globulins in the blood, a decrease in the level of albumin, and in chronic cases, animals develop dermatitis.

Application

The drug is used for the prevention and treatment of animals and poultry with A-, D- and E-hypovitaminosis, alimentary and secondary osteodystrophy, postpartum hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia, rickets, white muscle disease, bone fractures, joint dysplasia, in the complex therapy of bronchitis, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, endometritis, dermatitis, diseases of the liver, kidneys, myocardium, urinary tract, as well as to accelerate the intensity of growth and vitality of young animals, improve the reproductive function of adult livestock.

Dosage

The drug is used intramuscularly or subcutaneously, for prophylactic purposes – once every 10 days, for therapeutic purposes – once a week until recovery (5-8 injections), later (if necessary) the drug is administered in prophylactic doses. Animal rations must be balanced in terms of calcium, phosphorus and trace elements.

Contraindication

Not installed.

Reservation

Do not use simultaneously with corticosteroids (antagonists of vitamin D3).

Glass vials of 10 and 100 ml, tightly closed with a rubber stopper under an aluminum break-in.
