Stock

1 ml of the drug contains active substances: butaphosphane – 100 mg; vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) – 0.05 mg.

Excipients: butanol, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvet QA12C, other mineral additives (QA12SX91, butaphosphane).

Vitazal – a complex drug with tonic properties, normalizes metabolic and regenerative processes, stimulates protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, increases the body’s resistance to adverse environmental factors, promotes growth and development of animals.

Butaphosphane – an organic compound of phosphorus, affects the absorption of nutrients in the body. Butaphosphane improves the use of glucose in the blood, which stimulates energy metabolism; accelerates metabolic processes by stimulating the ADP-ATP cycle; activates all liver functions; increases non-specific resistance of the organism; stimulates smooth muscles and increases its motor activity; improves myocardial function; stimulates bone formation; normalizes the levels of hormones of the adrenal cortex in the blood; stimulates protein synthesis, accelerating the growth and development of animals, as well as the restorative properties of organs and tissues. Organic phosphorus compounds do not accumulate in the body and do not have the side effects characteristic of stimulants of inorganic phosphorus.

Vitamin B12 stimulates hematopoiesis, participates in the formation of creatine (a source of energy for muscle tissue), participates in the biosynthesis of acetylcholine, has a positive effect on the nervous system, stimulates fat metabolism and carboxylic acid metabolism, normalizes digestion, promotes methionine biosynthesis.

According to the degree of impact on the body, the drug is a low-risk substance (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

Application

Vitazal is prescribed to cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, fur animals and poultry in metabolic disorders of various etiologies, as well as a stimulant and tonic:

• to increase the body’s resistance to diseases of various etiologies;
• as an additional tool in the treatment of diseases caused by deficiency of calcium and magnesium in the body;
• during childbirth, as well as to prevent postpartum complications (tetany, labor paresis);
• with heavy physical activity and increased physical activity in sport horses (2-3 days before the competition).

Dosage

Intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous in doses (per animal):

• horse and cattle – 10-25 ml; foals and calves – 5-12 ml;
• sheep and goats – 2,5-8 ml;
• lambs – 1.5-2.5 ml;
• pigs – 2.5-10 ml;
• piglets – 1-2.5 ml;
• dogs – 0.5-5.0 ml;
• cats and fur animals – 0.5-2.5 ml

If necessary, the drug is administered repeatedly every other day.

For poultry Vitazal is added to drinking water at the rate of:

• chickens and hens – 1-1.5 ml per 1 liter of water;
• broilers and laying hens – 2-3 ml per 1 liter of water.

In chronic diseases, animals are administered half the dose.

If necessary, repeat the treatment in 5-14 days.
