Ipozane (Ypozane S) for dogs weighing 3 – 7.5 kg., 7 tablets 1.875 mg

Ipozane S (Ypozane) is used in males weighing 3 kg – 7.5 kg. to eliminate problems with the prostate gland, namely benign hypertrophy, and is one of the highly effective drugs that allows you to cope with the problem of prostatitis in dogs without resorting to surgery and castration. This disease is asymptomatic in the early stages, however, with age, there are signs of discomfort, pain, and urinary problems.

The main active ingredient is Osateron acetate – 1.875 mg. which has a strong androgenic effect and is a progesterone steroid. Osaterone acetate competitively inhibits the binding of androgens to prostate receptors, and also inhibits the uptake of testosterone in the cells of the prostate. These processes do not affect the quality of sperm.  The use of the drug  allows you to reduce the size of the prostate gland by up to 40%. The course of taking the drug is 7 days.

Ipozan is available in tablets in the amount of 7 pieces per pack. The dosage of the active ingredient depends on the weight of the animal.

3 kg. – 7.5 kg. S 1 tab. in a day.

7.5 kg. – 15 kg. M 1 tab. in a day.

15 kg. – 30 kg. L 1 tab. in a day.

30 kg. 60 kg. XL 1 table. during the day.

After application, the drug is rapidly absorbed (within 2 hours) and metabolized in the liver. After a course of administration, about 60% is excreted in feces, and 30% in urine.

Side effects are rare when the dosage is correct. Sometimes there is a sharp increase in appetite, increase or decrease in physical activity. Nausea and vomiting can occur if the dosage is not correct. Ipozan is used at the rate of 0.25 – 0.5 Osaterone acetate per 1 kg. the weight of the dog.

Ipozan is not aggressive, it is allowed to use it with other drugs, even simultaneously with antibiotics. Use very sparingly for dogs with liver problems.

After the end of the course of taking the drug, the positive effect lasts 5-6 months.
