Composition

The preparation contains a hydrophilic fraction of the pyrolysis products of meat and bone meal.

Oral solution

The liquid is yellow to red-brown in color with a specific odor, may contain a gray to black precipitate.

Pharmacological properties

The preparation contains products of pyrolysis of meat and bone meal: low-molecular organic compounds, including lower carboxylic acids; their amides and ammonium salts, choline esters of carboxylic acids, choline, primary and secondary amines, peptides, as well as inorganic nitrogenous compounds (salts of ammonium carbonate and ammonium acetate) and water. This complex of organic compounds determines the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effect of the preparation.

ASD-2U affects the endocrine, immune, and autonomic nervous systems. Active effects on the immune system significantly increase immunity, which allows the body to fight many skin diseases on its own: eczema, fungal infections, dermatitis, trophic ulcers; conjunctivitis, otitis media; inflammation of the lymph nodes, endocrine glands, and mucous membranes of the genitourinary tract; gastric atony, hair loss, etc.

The drug has a neurotropic cholinomimetic effect on the central and autonomic nervous system; stimulates the motor function of the gastrointestinal tract, secretion of digestive glands and activity of digestive enzymes, improves digestion and absorption of nutrients, increases the activity of tissue enzymes that take an active part in the transport of ions and nutrients through cell membranes, in the processes of phosphorylation, and protein synthesis. As a result of this action, ASD-2U improves tissue trophism, normalizes metabolic processes in various dystrophic conditions.

The drug has an antiseptic effect. It is practically non-toxic.

Indications for use

It is prescribed to farm animals (including poultry) and dogs, for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in the development of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs, genitourinary system, skin lesions, metabolic disorders, to stimulate the activity of the central and autonomic nervous system, increase natural resistance. In weakened and sick animals with infectious and invasive diseases, as well as to stimulate the growth and development of piglets, chickens and increase the egg production of chickens.

Contraindication

Individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.

High blood pressure, cardiovascular disease.

Precautions for use

Individual animals may be intolerant to the drug. For this reason, it is advisable to closely monitor the condition of the animals during the course of treatment. In case of deterioration, the course should be interrupted until the causes are identified.

Interaction with other tools

It combines well with other medications: antimicrobials, in particular with antibiotics of the aminoglycoside group, nitrofurans, succinic acid preparations, bentonite, novocaine solution. Do not use simultaneously with cardiovascular drugs containing isosorbide dinitrate.

Special instructions during pregnancy, lactation, and laying

Do not use in pregnant animals.

Method of administration and doses

Oral dosage of the drug ASD-2U is administered to animals with drinking water before feeding or mixed with compound feed during morning feeding.

Externally, ASD-2U is used in the form of 2-20% solutions prepared in sterile saline or boiled water. To prepare a therapeutic solution of the required concentration, the initial sterile solution is taken as 100%. The therapeutic solution is prepared under aseptic conditions.

For dyspepsia, gastroenterocolitis, gastroenteritis, as well as dystrophic conditions caused by digestive disorders and metabolic disorders, the drug is administered orally once a day, in single doses indicated below. Treatment is carried out in courses of 5 days with an interval of 2-3 days until the animal recovers.

In case of tympania in cattle, the drug is given to the animal or injected into the rumen through a gastric tube, once or twice a day in a single dose specified below. During the treatment, warm enemas, rumen massage and other procedures recommended for the specified pathology are prescribed.

In case of intestinal flatulence in horses, the drug is given to the animals or administered via a gastric tube once in the doses indicated below. During the treatment, warm enemas, abdominal massage and other procedures recommended for the specified pathology are prescribed. If necessary, the treatment is repeated.

For catarrhal pneumonia in piglets, along with etiotropic treatment, the drug is administered once a day with drinking water 30-40 minutes before feeding or during morning feeding with compound feed in the doses indicated below. Treatment is carried out until recovery in courses of 5 days with an interval of 2-3 days.

In case of development of vaginitis and retention of afterbirth in cows (after its removal), a 3-5% solution of the drug, heated to 40°C, is used, which is used to wash the vagina once a day for 4-5 days, spending 1.5-2 l of solution for each treatment. If the cervix is ​​open, then 200-300 ml of solution is injected into the uterus.

In acute and chronic endometritis, myometritis or pyometra in cows, if the cervix is ​​open, a 15% solution of the drug, heated to 40°C, is injected into the uterine cavity in an amount of 200-300 ml and immediately removed. For this purpose, a catheter with a reverse flow of fluid is used. The treatment is carried out once a day until recovery.

In order to stimulate the central and autonomic nervous system, increase resistance in animals that have had infectious and invasive diseases, accelerate the healing processes of the skin, in case of necrobacteriosis, eczema, dermatitis, and the development of trophic ulcers, the drug is used with drinking water or mixed with feed once a day in the doses indicated below. Treatment is carried out until recovery in courses of 5 days with an interval of 3 days.

In order to stimulate the growth and development of calves, piglets and chickens, the drug is used by group feeding at the rate of 0.1 ml of ASD-2U per 1 kg of body weight every other day for 1-2 months.

Infected wounds that heal slowly are washed with a 15-20% solution of the drug and then a bandage moistened with this solution is applied. Treatment is carried out once a day until the wound is cleansed of pus. In the presence of fistulas, opened abscess cavities, phlegmon, gauze drainage is inserted into their cavity, moistened with a solution of the drug and a sterile bandage is applied on top. The drainage is changed daily until a granulation shaft is formed.

Allergic reactions: antihistamine medications are used.

Milk from dairy animals, poultry eggs, and animal meat after using the drug can be used without restrictions.

Special precautions for persons and service personnel using veterinary immunobiological product (VIP)

The drug is a moderately hazardous substance. When working with the drug, rubber gloves should be worn. After finishing work, wash your face and hands with warm water, wash and dry the gloves.

Empty containers from the drug are prohibited for household purposes, they should be thrown into garbage containers. In case of accidental use of the drug by a person and subsequent manifestation of side effects, immediately consult a doctor and show him the label or package insert of this drug.

Special safety precautions when handling unused VIP, methods of its neutralization and disposal

Dispose of in accordance with current state regulations regarding medical and household waste.

Expiration date

4 years. After first opening the primary packaging, use within 14 days.

The drug is stored in a dark place at a temperature of 2 °C to 25 °C; do not freeze.
