Description

Anfluron 2 MO, 2 ml

Structure

Sterile isotonic (0.15M NaCl, 0.1M Na-, K-phosphates pH 7.2-7.4) aqueous solution of recombinant a- and g-interferons – analogs of human a-2- and g-interferons, total protein < 15μg / ml.

Pharmacological properties

Interferons (IFNs) are a group of biologically active proteins or glycoproteins synthesized by cells in the process of a protective reaction to foreign agents – viral infection, antigenic or mitogenic effects. IFNs of different animal species, despite minor interspecies discrepancies in the amino acid composition, effectively work in the organisms of heterogeneous animals. When IFN comes into contact with various cells of the body, the latter become immune to almost all known viruses and to many toxins of protein and other nature. IFN, in contrast to immunostimulants (IFN inducers), are powerful modulators of the immune system.

α-IFN is produced by lymphoid cells in response to foreign agents such as viruses, bacteria or neoplastic agents. It activates almost all cells of the immune system, promotes the production of antibodies. Modulates B-cell immunity.

g-IFN is produced by activated T-lymphocytes. Activates cells of the immune system, especially macrophages (increases activity 1000 times). Modulates T-cell immunity. Antiviral activity is lower than that of a-IFN.

Application

The drug is intended for the treatment and prevention of agricultural, domestic animals and poultry with diseases of various etiologies (infectious, invasive, oncological, immunodeficiency):

– as an antiviral agent in cases of acute, chronic and persistent viral infections;

– as an immunomodulator of general action for the activation of cellular and humoral immunity in many pathologies, including immunodeficiency and immunosuppressive conditions caused by an infectious or invasive agent, antibiotic and chemotherapy.

– as an immunomodulator of local action for the creation of locus rezistentio majoris (joint disease, wounds of various etiologies, local diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, etc.).

Dosage

With viral infections

The initial course of anfluron intramuscularly 1-3 days until the therapeutic effect is achieved.

Adult animals (1 year old and older)

Shock doses:

– dogs of small and large breeds – 1-2 ml per head, respectively;

– for cats, rabbits, minks, nutria 0.5-1 ml per head;

– pigs, goats, sheep – depending on weight – 1-2 ml per head;

– cattle, horses – depending on weight – 2-3 ml per head.

With continued treatment in cases of chronic persistent viral infections, they switch to maintenance doses (1/2 of shock), a course of 7-10 days, maximum up to 30 days.

Young animals (up to 1 year old) – 1/2 of the adult (shock and maintenance) doses, respectively.

In case of immunosuppressive conditions caused by intoxication due to prolonged antibiotic and / or chemotherapy, against the background of the current treatment – supported doses, a course of up to 10 days, the next treatment – 1/2 of the supported doses.

For malignant diseases of organs and systems

Three-fold shock doses of Anfluron, a course of 14-28 days with mandatory symptomatic therapy and monitoring of laboratory parameters (blood, urine, etc.). If it is possible to inject directly into the tumor, in general, no more than 0.5 ml per 1 kg of animal weight at a time. A combination with chemotherapy and radiotherapy is possible. Effective in postoperative treatment as a cytostatic.

With parasitic diseases

Intracellular invasions, incl. chlamydia, – shock doses for the first 3 days, maintained – 7-10 days. Combinations with antibiotic and chemotherapy are possible.

Other invasions – for immunocorrection, maintained doses for 10 days in combination with chemotherapy.

For diseases of the immune system (chronic immunosuppression):

– with courses of no more than 1 month every other day, supported doses;

– for courses * more than 1 month – for 14 days, maintained doses every other day, then switch to 1/2 of the supported doses every other day under the obligatory control of immunological and hematological parameters.

With eye diseases

Viral, post-traumatic (including postoperative) keratitis, conjunctivitis, etc. 2-3 drops in the eye 3-4 times a day. In more serious cases, retrobulbar blockade with anfluron is possible (loading dose once or maintained repeatedly).

Skin diseases

Post-traumatic, postoperative wounds – Anfluron 1:10 on sterile saline in the form of applications on wounds and / or aspiration into the wound cavity through drainage in combination with antibiotic or chemotherapy. A solution of the drug is prepared before use, stored for no more than 24 hours at (4-8) ° C.

The dosage of Anfluron should not exceed 1.5 loading dose per day for a course of up to 5 days and 0.75 loading dose for a course of treatment over 5 days.

With trichophytosis – intramuscularly a loading dose of anfluron in combination with a vaccine. Anfluron solution is prepared before use, stored for no more than 24 hours at (4-8) ° C.

For prophylaxis, anfluron is used intramuscularly 1/2 of the shock doses with a frequency of 1 time in 2 weeks, or internally by drinking with a solution of the drug at the rate of a loading dose per head with a frequency of 1 time per week. For drinking, anfluron is diluted with cold boiled or settled water per livestock and guaranteed one-time use of the diluted drug by all animals. A solution of the drug is prepared before use, stored for no more than 24 hours at (4-8) ° C.

Immunity to infections, as a rule, lasts up to 30 days after drug administration.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to IFN drugs. Severe forms of allergic diseases.

Caution when applying

When calculating dosages for long courses, avoid high doses of anfluron, replacing them with sustained doses (1/2 of loading doses).

In case of severe violations of the liver and kidneys, severe cardiovascular diseases, Anfluron is used with caution (the frequency of administration is no more than 1 time in 2-3 days).

Do not use in conjunction with immunostimulants and inducers of endogenous interferon.

For pregnant animals, the drug is used with caution, given the possibility of adverse reactions (fever, anxiety, etc.).

Side effects

With the introduction of shock doses, the following are possible: fever, flu-like syndrome, lethargy, drowsiness. In cats, within 1 hour – anxiety, rarely vomiting, after 4 hours the listed reactions disappear. With the further use of maintained doses, side reactions are not restored.

Packaging

Glass ampoules of 1 and 2 ml, glass vials of 10 ml, polyethylene dropper bottles of 5, 10 ml.

Storage

Anfluron is stored at a temperature of 2 ° C to 8 ° C; do not freeze.

Expiration date – 18 months.
