Compound:

100 ml of the preparation contains:

active ingredient propoxur – 0.25 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Bolfo spray belongs to insectoacaricidal drugs.

Propoxur (2-isopropoxyphenyl-N-methylcarbamate), which is part of the drug, gets on the skin and hair of an animal and has a long-term insectoacaricidal effect on insects and ixodid ticks parasitizing dogs and cats.

Propoxur is an active inhibitor of the esterase systems of the body of arthropods, stimulates glycolysis and inhibits oxidative phosphorylation, which leads to disruption of biochemical processes, paralysis and death of ectoparasites.

Aerosol Bolfo® in terms of the degree of impact on the body refers to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses does not have a local irritant and resorptive-toxic effect, when it gets on the mucous membranes, it causes slight irritation. Toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms.

Indications:

Prevention and treatment of dogs and cats with ectoparasitic diseases caused by fleas (Stenocephalides) and ticks (Ixodidae).

Dosage:

The preparation Bolfo® spray is used externally.

Before use, shake the bottle and, pressing the spray, for a few seconds, direct the stream of the drug from a distance of 30-40 cm to the animal’s body against the growth of the hair until it is lightly moistened. Covering the eyes of the animal, the auricles and chest are treated, then the drug is rubbed onto the hair around the eyes and nose with fingertips, after which the neck, trunk, limbs and tail are sprayed. When treating animals with the drug, avoid getting the drug on the eyes and nose.

Bolfo® spray kills fleas and ticks instantly after application. Ticks that died after treatment, which remained attached to the skin of animals, are removed mechanically. Animals that are held together are advised to be treated at the same time against fleas.

Young animals are treated with the drug from 3 months of age.

Animal habitats, bedding, rugs and other animal care products are recommended to be periodically treated with appropriate insecticides.

Contraindications:

Do not use in sick and malnourished animals, puppies and kittens under 3 months of age and animals sensitive to the components of the drug.
