Excipients: propylparaben, methylparaben, butanol, disodium edetate, sodium acetate, citric acid, water for injections.
Pharmacological properties:
The drug contains glucose (dextrose), which is necessary to provide the body with energy; hemodialysate from the blood of calves, which in addition to inorganic electrolytes and other trace elements, contains peptides, amino acids, nucleosides, enzymes, lipids and oligosaccharides; B vitamins.
Glucose is a source of easily digestible energy and a stimulant of muscle work. Isotonic glucose solution activates the functions of all cells of the body, reduces acidity, especially during starvation and disorders of fat metabolism; normalizes osmotic pressure in cells and tissues of animals. Glucose in organs and tissues is phosphorylated, turning into glucose-6-phosphate, which activates the body’s metabolism. The antitoxic effect of glucose is associated with its ability to form with poisons and toxins complex, less toxic compounds, and increased diuresis promotes their excretion from the body.
Due to its multicomponent composition, the drug normalizes metabolism, reduces vascular permeability, increases the energy potential of cells, supports aerobic metabolism and oxidative phosphorylation, helps to replenish high-energy phosphates of cells that do not receive adequate nutrition, improves oxygen uptake and tissue uptake. from hypoxia and metabolically depleted, has antitoxic effects; normalizes the content of B vitamins in animals and poultry, prevents metabolic disorders, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Application:
At diseases of various etiology, stresses, during recovery, after the transferred diseases, dehydration of an organism, diarrhea and vomiting, hepatitises, mycotoxicosis, and also at acetonemia and other disturbances of a metabolism; to increase endurance during physical activity, horses and dogs – before intense work and competitions, pregnancy and lactation; weakened and exhausted animals, to normalize metabolism.
Dosage:
Injected parenterally in doses per head:
horses – 150-200 ml of the drug per 100 kg of body weight intravenously slowly once a day;
Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs – 50 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight (calves, piglets – 30 ml of the drug per 5 kg of body weight) intravenously slowly, intramuscularly, peritonally or subcutaneously once a day;
dogs, cats – 10 ml of the drug per 1 kg of body weight intravenously or subcutaneously once every 2 days;
poultry – 10 ml of the drug per 1 kg of body weight subcutaneously once a day;
chickens (in the first day of life) – 0.5-1.0 ml of the drug per chicken subcutaneously once.
For intramuscular and subcutaneous administration, the dose is recommended to be divided into parts and administered in different places.
Before administration, the drug is warmed to the body temperature of the animal.
Contraindication:
Do not use for hyperglycemia.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Reservation:
With the introduction of the drug in the maximum dose may develop hyperhydration with a slight violation of water-salt homeostasis (especially in depleted animals).
Incompatible with hexamethylenetetramine (urotropin), alkaloid solutions, general anesthetics.
Weakens the action of analgesics, adrenomimetics, inactivates the action of streptomycin.
