Instructions for use of the drug KANTARIS compositum
Cantharis compositum ad us. vet.
Homeopathic medicine for use in veterinary medicine.
Composition:
1 ampoule 5 ml. contains: Cantharis D4, Arsenicum album D4, Hepar sulfuris D6, Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni D6 ana 0.05 ml.
Indications:
Cystitis, kidney inflammation (nephritis). Dysfunction of the urinary tract, acute and chronic inflammation of the renal pelvis. Cystopyelitis, pyelitis, renal-bladder bleeding, tenesmus of the bladder. Painful urination, urinary retention.
Contraindications, side effects: none.
Interaction with other drugs: no peculiarities.
Waiting period for effect: none.
Brief description of the individual components:
Cantharis
acute inflammation of the mucous membranes of the genitourinary organs. Fluid effusion in the body cavity.
Arsenicum album
inflammation of varying severity and localization.
Hepar sulfuris
inflammation of the mucous membranes of the urinary tract.
Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni
inflammation of the mucous membranes of the urinary tract (pyelitis, cystitis, nephritis). Glomerulonephritis. Diseases of wasting.
Duration and method of application:
Introduced s / c., I / m., I / v.
In accordance with the size of the animal, a single dose is:
For sports horses – 5.0 – 10.0 ml.
Large dogs – 3.0 – 4.0 ml.
Medium dogs – 2.0 ml.
Small dogs, cats – 1.0 – 2.0 ml.
Puppies, kittens – 0.5 – 1.0 ml.
In acute cases, repeat the dose every 24 hours.
In case of chronic course, relapses, long-term treatment, the dose is repeated every 4 days.
ORAL (in the form of drinking ampoules):
Sport horses:
– adults – 20-30 drops;
– foals – 15-20 drops;
Dogs:
– adults – 7-12 drops;
– newborn puppies – 5 drops;
– weaned from the mother – 7 drops.
Cats:
– adults – 7 drops;
– newborn kittens – 5 drops;
– weaned from the mother – 7 drops.
Birds of cage content: 1.0 ml. diluted in 10.0 ml. drinking water.
Rodents: 2 drops.
Release form and packaging: 5 and 50 ampoules of 5 ml.

Urogenital system.
Kantaris compositum is prescribed for both inflammatory and degenerative processes.
1. Pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis, cystitis, urethritis.
2. Nephrotic syndrome, contracted kidney, nephrosarcoma.
3. Juvenile vaginitis.
The duration of treatment is from several days (cystitis, juvenile vaginitis) to several months (nephrotic syndrome).
Dermatology.
Cantaris compositum is effective only in an acute, rapidly developing process with severe pain, edema and hyperemia.
1. Acute eczematous otitis externa.
2. Acute eczematous dermatitis.
3. Erysipelas with fever.
4. Thermal burn.
Duration of treatment is 3 to 7 days.
In addition to the main indications, Kantaris compositum is often prescribed for exudative pleurisy. The duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks, alternating subcutaneous and intramuscular routes of administration.
