Intermectin 1% (ivermectin) solution for injection 100 ml

Description

Ivermectin belongs to the avermectin group; it is active against nematodes and other parasites. Clorsulon is a sulfonamide that acts primarily on mature and immature forms of the liver fluke.

Indications for use

Treatment of diseases caused by gastrointestinal nematodes (mature and fourth stage larvae), pulmonary nematodes (mature and fourth stage larvae), liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica; mature), loa, skin gadflies (parasitic stage), sucking lice and itch itching (scabies), in beef cattle and milked dairy cattle.

Contraindications

Use in lactating animals and pregnant heifers for 60 days before and after calving.
Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.

Side effects

On contact with the ground, ivermectin quickly and strongly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time. Free ivermectin is harmful to fish and certain aquatic organisms that feed on them.

Dose

Subcutaneously

Usual dose: 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight.

Excretion time

Meat: 35 days.

Precautionary measures

Do not use during lactation.
Do not use on pregnant heifers within 60 days before and after calving.
Do not allow water from paddocks to enter lakes, streams and ponds.
Do not pour the drug into water or contaminate it by improperly disposing of vials with drug residues.
Vials should be buried in an approved landfill or incinerated.
