Ivermicol (ivermectin) Horse Wormer Syringe, 60 ml
Gel from translucent to white.
1 ml of the preparation contains the active ingredient:
ivermectin – 4 mg.
Gel base up to 1 ml.
Ivermectin is a macrocyclic lactone, which, by increasing the production of the inhibitory neurotransmitter – gamma-aminobutyric acid, disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses in parasites, which leads to their paralysis and death. The drug has a wide range of antiparasitic action, has a detrimental effect on nematodes, gadfly larvae, causative agents of sarcoptoidosis and animal entomosis.
For the treatment and prevention of parasitosis of horses, which are caused by:
pulmonary nematodes: Dictyocaulus arnfieldi;
nematodes: Onchocerca reticulata; Parafilaria multipapillosa by
nematodes of the alimentary canal of families: Strongylidae, Strongyloididae, Oxyuridae, Ascaridae, Spiruridae;
gadfly larvae: Gasterophilus spp.
For treatment and prophylaxis, the drug is administered to horses once orally at a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of animal body weight, which corresponds to 0.2 mg / kg of body weight. The drug is squeezed onto the root of the tongue from a syringe-tube, which is injected into the interdental space of the oral cavity, then the animal’s head is raised for a few seconds. The required volume of the drug is determined by the scale of the syringe-tube piston.
