Roncoleukin ®  is a highly effective and safe drug for immunocorrection of immune system dysfunctions in animals.

Roncoleukin ®  is used for the treatment and prevention of diseases:
– small domestic animals (dogs, cats, rodents, etc.);
– horses;
– farm animals;
– agricultural and ornamental poultry;
– wild and exotic animals;
– fish.

It is used as monotherapy or as a component of complex therapy in animals of any age with the following diseases and conditions:
– oncological;
– infectious;
– purulent-inflammatory;
– skin;
– respiratory;
– stress (transportation and other manipulations),
– as an adjuvant of vaccines.

Roncoleukin ® is  used for all types of animals, including fish and reptiles, as an immunocorrector for the treatment and prevention of infectious, pyoinflammatory and oncological diseases, postoperative complications, to level the adverse effects of stress factors, to enhance the effectiveness of vaccination and reduce post-vaccination complications, to stimulate processes of tissue repair and regeneration after injuries and surgical interventions, to normalize the state of immunity of old animals.

A contraindication to use is a history of hypersensitivity to interleukin-2 or any component of the drug. It is not recommended to administer to horses shortly before or immediately after exercise; and also in hot weather. Horses with severe lesions of the conducting system and the valvular apparatus of the heart are used with caution, fractionally.

Pharmacological properties
Interleukin-2 is produced by a subpopulation of T-lymphocytes (T-helper cells I) in response to antigenic stimulation. The synthesized IL-2 acts on T-lymphocytes, enhancing their proliferation and the subsequent synthesis of IL-2. The biological effects of IL-2 are mediated by its binding to specific receptors on various cellular targets. IL-2 has a directed effect on the growth, differentiation and activation of T- and B-lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, oligodendroglial cells, Langerhans epidermal cells, increases the synthesis of all immunoglobulin isotypes by plasma cells. IL-2 reduces the level of spontaneous apoptosis of T-helper lymphocytes, increases the production of interferons α, β, γ. The development of cytolytic activity of natural killer cells and cytotoxic T-lymphocytes depends on its presence. IL-2 induces the formation of lymphokine-activated killers and activates tumor-infiltrating cells. Expansion of the spectrum of the lyzing action of effector cells causes the elimination of various pathogenic microorganisms, infected and malignant cells, which provides immune protection against the growth of tumor cells, as well as viral, bacterial and fungal infections.

Doses and method of administration
Subcutaneously (s / c): dissolve the contents of the ampoule in 2 – 5 ml of a solution of 0.9% sodium chloride or water for injection.

Intravenous (IV): Transfer the contents of the ampoule with Roncoleukin into 100 – 400 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride for injection.

Intranasally: dissolve the contents of the ampoule in 4 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection.

Instill into the nose at the rate: for animals weighing up to five kilograms, use an ampoule of 100,000 IU, for animals weighing up to 20 kilograms, use an ampoule of 250,000 IU, for animals weighing over 20 kilograms, use an ampoule of 500,000 IU. Instill two drops in each nostril at least 3 – 5 times a day.

Outwardly: dissolve the contents of the ampoule in 5-10 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection and use in the form of applications or surface irrigation.

Intercisstial (intravesical): dissolve the contents of the ampoule 100,000 – 250,000 IU in 5 – 50 ml (depending on the size of the animal) 0.9% sodium chloride solution and inject through the catheter.

Orally: dissolve the contents of the ampoule in 2-10 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection (depending on the size of the animal) and feed the animal.

Aerosol: dilute the contents of the ampoule in the required amount with 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection and spray on the installation or directly into the animal’s oral cavity.

When diluting Roncoleukin, do not shake the ampoule vigorously to avoid foaming. The drug can be prescribed for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes, starting from a newborn age.

Side effects
Subcutaneous injection of Roncoleukin may be accompanied by a short-term, up to 1 minute, painful reaction “burning”. In order to reduce this effect, water for injection should be used to dilute the drug.

Contraindications
Cattle and Horses with severe lesions of the conduction system and the valvular apparatus of the heart, Roncoleukin is used with caution, fractionally. Myocardial infarction in cattle and horses is a contraindication for the use of Roncoleukin. Roncoleukin is not recommended to be administered to horses shortly before or immediately after exercise, or in hot weather due to the effect of hyperthermia. In malignant diseases of the blood and lymph, Roncoleukin should be used with caution. It is not recommended to use Roncoleukin simultaneously with topical or systemic corticosteroid drugs.

special instructions
Roncoleukin is compatible with most other drugs, but some rules should be followed when using it: it is undesirable to administer Roncoleukin with any other drugs and vaccines in one syringe (except for vaccination of birds); do not administer Roncoleukin in solutions containing glucose, as the level of activity of the drug decreases. Livestock products after application of the immunomodulator Roncoleukin can be used for food purposes without restrictions.

Storage conditions
An open vial of the drug is not subject to storage. The drug is stored in a dry, clean, dark place at a temperature of 2 to 10 ° C. The shelf life of the drug is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Transportation is allowed within 10 (ten) days at a temperature of 25 ° C.
