Description

A thick pearlescent liquid with a specific smell of the constituent components, it foams easily.

Structure

1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient:

propoxur – 0.8 mg.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvetQP53, ectoparasiticides, insecticides and repellents (QP53AE02, propoxur)

The active ingredient of the drug, propoxur, belongs to insecticides-carbamates, which are synthetic analogs of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (neurohormone), which acts as a mediator of nerve impulses. Propoxur acts on ectoparasites (fleas, lice, lice, parasitic mites) as a contact poison, causing toxic accumulation of the neurohormone acetylcholine on cholinergic nerve endings, resulting in the death of ectoparasites.

Subject to the recommended method of application, the drug is highly effective against ectoparasites. The shampoo is also good for cleansing the skin of animals, giving the coat shine and a healthy look.

The drug is highly toxic to fish, birds, bees and some plants (chrysanthemums, orchids, roses).

Application

Prevention and treatment of puppies and kittens for diseases caused by ectoparasites: fleas (Ctenocephalides spp., Pulex irritans), lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus), lice (Linognathus setosus) and parasitoid mites (Ippxacentl. ); hygienic care of skin and hair of animals.

Dosage

A small amount of shampoo (at the rate of 0.5-1 ml per 1 kg of body weight) is applied to the pre-moistened animal hair, kept for 10-15 minutes, preventing the animals from licking the shampoo, and washed off well with warm water.

In case of damage to lice and lice, animals are treated twice with an interval of 7-10 days.

Contraindications

Do not handle weakened and sick animals during pregnancy and lactation.

Do not use on animals under 3 months of age.

Caveats

Cases of hypersensitivity of animals to the active substance of the drug (propoxura) are possible.

When bathing with shampoo, avoid contact with the eyes and ears of the animal.

After bathing, wipe and dry the animal, prevent hypothermia and drafts.
