Sample collection and preparation

Collect fresh urine in a clean, dry container. Do not centrifuge urine. Stir the sample thoroughly before testing. Urine testing should be done within an hour after collection. All samples must be collected and stored sanitary.

Note: Do not use water as a negative control. Do not add preservatives, they will not prevent the breakdown of ketones, bilirubin or urobilinogen. If stored for a long time, test results for glucose, pH, nitrite, and blood may change as a result of secondary bacterial contamination of the sample.

Method of visual reading of the result

1. Immerse the reagent strip in the urine sample for 2-3 seconds.
2. Run the edge of the strip along the edge of the vessel to remove excess urine.
3. Holding the strip horizontally, compare the test result on the strip to the color chart on the label of the pencil case. Write down the result. For semi-quantitative determination, the result is recorded according to the time indicated on the color chart. For a good result, the strip should be analyzed in the interval from 1 to 2 minutes. after the dive.

Storage

The strips must be stored in their original packaging. Never use strips that are out of date. Each strip is used once. Do not remove the strips from the pencil case if they are not used immediately. After removing the test strips, close the container immediately and tightly. The strips are stored in a dry place at a temperature between + 2 ° C and + 30 ° C. Do not store the strips in the refrigerator or expose them to direct sunlight. Do not touch the reagent area of ​​the strip. Protection from moisture, light and heat is an essential measure against changing the reactivity of the reactants.
