Zylkene Vetoquinol, 225 mg, anti-stress capsules for dogs of medium breeds, pack of 10 capsules, 1 capsule per 10-15 kg of animal weight.
Anti-stress capsules for medium breed dogs. An effective drug for solving common situations in pets when visiting a veterinarian, groomer, participating in an exhibition, the appearance of a new pet or child, sudden noise, fireworks, travel. Many animals cannot cope with stress on their own. The drug is intended for a pet to cope with stress or adapt to an unusual new environment, when moving, visiting veterinary clinics, with sudden noises such as fireworks, when a new family member appears, etc.
It is important to remember that each animal is different, and this is reflected in how they react to changes in their everyday environment. Even positive changes, such as having a baby in the home, can lead to unwanted behavior in your pet.
Signs of stress in animals:
Inappropriate behavior in relationships with people and other pets
Changing habits
Excessive licking of your body
Unwillingness to play (especially in kittens and puppies)
Scratching and gnawing on furniture and other household items
Non-pet pollution at home
The pet begins to bark more or behave aggressively
The pet tries to hide in any accessible places
Since its launch, Zylkene has become a familiar product for veterinarians and pet owners around the world, as it is great at helping pets cope with unusual stressful situations.
The food supplement is made from the protein found in milk (the same molecule that helps newborn babies relax after breastfeeding). The drug can be given to lactating females, as well as kittens and puppies when weaning from breastfeeding.
Dosage form:
Elongated gelatin capsules with powder in the middle. The capsules are packaged in a blister of 10 pcs.
Pharmacological properties:
Alpha-casozepin acts directly on the brain and spinal cord through GABA receptors. These are the same receptors that benzodiazepines act on. Benzodiazepines are prescription tranquilizers. The effects of alpha-casozepine are dose dependent – higher doses were more effective in reducing anxiety than lower doses. In animal studies, the safety of alpha-casozepine was studied and found to be free of the side effects associated with benzodiazepines.
