Semi-synthetic antibiotic of the penicillin series of a wide spectrum of action.
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, incl. Campylobacter spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Streptococcus
The mechanism of action of the antibiotic is to disrupt the synthesis of the mucopeptide, which is part of the cell wall of microorganisms, by inhibiting the enzymes transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, which leads to disruption of the osmotic balance and destruction of the bacterial cell.
Amoxicillin trihydrate is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is rapidly distributed in the body. The maximum concentration in the blood serum is reached after 1.5-2 hours and is maintained at a therapeutic level for at least 12 hours after the application of Amatib 80%. The antibiotic is excreted from the body mainly in the urine.

Indications and purposes:
With a therapeutic purpose – pigs, calves, lambs and kids, with a therapeutic and therapeutic purpose – agricultural birds with acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system, genitourinary system, gastrointestinal tract and other primary and secondary infections of bacterial etiology, the causative agents of which are sensitive to amoxicillin.
A contraindication to use is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and antibiotics of the penicillin series. Amatib 80% water-soluble powder is prohibited to use for laying hens, whose eggs will be used for food purposes, and replacement chickens less than 2 weeks before the start of egg-laying, due to the accumulation of the drug in the eggs, adult ruminants with developed cicatricial digestion, as well as animals with severe renal and hepatic insufficiency.
Dosage and method of administration:
Amatib 80% is administered to animals orally individually or in groups for 3-5 days in the following doses:
– calves, kids, lambs – 2 times / day in a single dose of 1.25 g per 100 kg of animal weight (10 mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of body weight);
– pigs and poultry with water for drinking in a dose of 250 g per 1000 l of water (10-20 mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of weight). The medicinal solution is prepared daily during the treatment period.
For group administration, pigs and poultry should receive only water containing the medicinal product.
Special instructions:
When allergic reactions appear, the use of Amatib 80% of water-soluble powder is discontinued and desensitizing therapy is carried out.
Do not use Amatib 80% water-soluble powder in conjunction with tetracycline antibiotics, chloramphenicol, macrolides and lincosamides, due to a possible decrease in its antibacterial activity.
Slaughter of pigs, calves, lambs and kids for meat is allowed no earlier than 8 days, birds – no earlier than 3 days after the last use of Amatib 80% water-soluble powder. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified periods can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
