Instructions for use of the Antistaphylococcal drug for animals (ASP)
The composition and form of release of the
ASP is made from exotoxins A, B and C, as well as some antigenic somatic structures of Staphylococcus spp. and contains an immunostimulant. In appearance, it is a white or light yellow liquid for intramuscular injection. Available in 8 ml glass bottles.
Pharmacological properties
The mechanism of action of the drug is based on the specific stimulation of the immune response to exotoxins and somatic antigens of staphylococci, which causes the rapid death of the pathogen in the animal’s body, and also forms further immunity to staphylococcal infection. The immunostimulating component, which is part of the drug, allows you to correct suppressed immune responses and enhance the specific immune response against the pathogen.
Indications

With a therapeutic purpose: carry out 4 – 5 injections, depending on the severity of the disease with an interval of 3 – 4 days in increasing doses depending on the body weight of the animal. In the case of extensive lesions, the calculated dose should be reduced by 2 times, and the number of injections should be increased by one. If it is necessary to continue treatment, the number of injections with increasing doses can be increased (until the clinical signs of the disease disappear). The order of application and dose of the drug are indicated in the table:
