Baycox (toltrazuril) 2,5% – Solution for poultry 1 ml x 50 ampules
Composition and form of release:
100 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient toltrazuril 2.5 g in a special solvent. The drug is a colorless, odorless liquid. Packaged in 1 ml ampoules, 10 pieces in cardboard boxes.
Pharmacological properties:
Baycox is effective against all types of coccidia (Eimeria acervulina, E. anceris, E. brunetti, E. necatrlx, E. mills, E. adenoides, E. truncata), including those resistant to other anticoccidial drugs, exhibits rapid action at the stages of intracellular development of eimeria. Baycox is moderately toxic to birds. Does not interfere with the formation of immunity to coccidiosis. The preparation is compatible with feed additives, vitamins and medicines for poultry.
Indications for use:
Treatment and prevention of coccidiosis of broilers and replacement chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks.
Dosage and method of administration:
Baycox is prescribed to birds when a critical level of coccidia in the litter is reached (over 10 thousand / g) or when clinical signs of the disease appear. The drug is used with drinking water for 2 days.
Dose: 7 mg of active ingredient (toltrazuril) per 1 kg of live weight of a bird per day, which corresponds to the daily use of Baycox at the rate of 1 ml per 1 liter of drinking water when drinking for 24 hours or 3 ml per 1 liter of drinking water when drinking for 6-8 hours. In severe cases of the disease, the course of treatment is repeated after 5 days. Baycox medicinal solution retains its activity for 48 hours. If a precipitate appears, the solution should be thoroughly mixed before use.
Contraindications:
Do not use for laying hens.
Side effect:
When using Baycox in the recommended doses, side effects are not observed.
Special instructions:
Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed 8 days after the last use of the drug. In the event of the forced slaughter of a previously established deadline, the meat can be used for the production of meat and bone meal. If the drug gets on the skin or mucous membranes, it should be washed off immediately with plenty of water. It is forbidden to use containers from the preparation for household purposes.
