(oral powder)
Description
Flavorless white or yellowish powder.
Composition
100 g of the preparation contains the active ingredient:
amprolium hydrochloride – 22 g.
Excipients: powdered sugar.
Pharmacological properties
ATCvet QP51, antiprotozoal veterinary drugs (QP51AX09, amprolium)
The active substance of the drug, amprolium hydrochloride, inhibits the development of eimeria at the stage of schizogony of the first and second generation. The action of amprolium is due to the fact that its chemical structure is close to thiamine (vitamin B 1 ), which is necessary for the life of eimeria. In the cells of parasites, amprolium disrupts carbohydrate metabolism, which leads to their death.
Amprolium almost does not penetrate the cell membranes of the intestinal mucosa of birds and mammals, therefore the drug is practically non-toxic when used in therapeutic doses. The main part of amprolium (up to 97%) is excreted from the body unchanged. The drug suppresses the formation of anti-coccidial immunity, is compatible with vitamins and feed additives that are used in poultry farming.

Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. praecox, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E.mitis, E.mivati;
