Ecocide-C for Disinfection of objects of veterinary 2.5 kg
Description
Fine-grained powder of pinkish-gray color with the smell of lemon, well soluble in water.
Storage
100 g of the drug contain the active substance:
potassium peroxymonosulfate – 50 g
Excipients: sodium chloride, sulfamic acid, malic acid, polyphosphate, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, dye, flavoring with the smell of lemon.
Pharmacological properties
ATS vet classification code: QV07AV – Technical disinfectants.
When interacting with sodium chloride and sulfamic acid, potassium peroxymonosulfate is a powerful oxidizing agent. Potassium peroxymonosulfate is an effective biocide against many known families of viruses, pathogenic for humans and animals, against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is also active against some types of yeast and fungi. Potassium peroxymonosulfate causes oxidation of microbial glycoproteins, polypeptides and nucleic acids. It reacts with sulfhydryl groups of proteins found in virus capsids. Organic acids in combination with an inorganic buffer create an acidic environment and optimize the biocidal activity of potassium peroxymonosulfate. They show such activity also in the presence of hard water, organic impurities and at low temperatures.
Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate acts as a surface-active substance, thanks to which the contact of the oxidant with microbes is ensured; reacts with membrane lipids and causes denaturation of some cell membrane proteins.
Ecocide C has bactericidal properties (E.coli, Klebsiella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Campylobacter spp., Enterococcus spp. Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp. and others), fungicidal properties (Candida albicans, Trichophyton spp. , Aspergillus niger), virucidal (viruses of hepatitis, herpes, influenza, poliomyelitis, enteroviruses and others) and sporicidal (destroys the most resistant bacterial spores) action.
Application
The preparation is used for disinfection of livestock and poultry premises, drinking water supply systems, poultry and egg processing shops, slaughterhouses and meat processing shops, vehicles, equipment, surfaces, devices, tools, sanitary and technical equipment and other objects that subject to veterinary supervision.
Dosage
The working solution of Ecocide C is used by the method of wet disinfection, aerosol spraying, fog and for disinfection barriers.
- For general disinfection of previously cleaned surfaces and equipment, it is necessary to prepare a 1% solution of Ecocide C (100 g of the drug per 10 l of water). Exposure is from 60 minutes to 2 hours.
- Final disinfection of surfaces and premises where animals are kept is carried out in case of risk of viral, bacterial or fungal infections. A 1% solution of Ecocide C is applied to surfaces and equipment using a low-pressure sprayer or other mechanical sprayer at a dose of 300 ml/m2. Exposure is from 2 to 3 hours. Animals are brought into the room after the end of the exposure.
- To clean and disinfect the equipment, use a 0.5-3% solution of Ecocide C at a dose of 300 ml/m2 for 15-60 minutes, depending on the degree of contamination. Then rinse with clean water.
- For sanitation of water supply systems after final cleaning, use a 0.5% solution of Ecocide C (50 g of the drug per 10 liters of water), filling the entire system. Exposure 60 minutes. After exposure, the remains of the disinfectant solution are washed off with water.
- To ensure constant sterilization of drinking water, add the appropriate amount of Ecocid C powder to the tank or to the automatic dosing device to obtain a 0.1% solution.
- For air disinfection in order to eliminate cross-infections during outbreaks of diseases (especially respiratory tract diseases), a 0.5% solution of Ecocide C is used. Disinfection is carried out using devices acting under pressure, for fine-drop spraying or knapsack sprayers at a dose of 1 l per 10 m3 of area. Exposure is 30-60 minutes.
- For cold aerosol disinfection, use a 1% solution of Ecocide C (100 g of the drug per 10 liters of water). Aerosol disinfection in animal-free premises (barns) is carried out within 30-60 minutes using mechanical aerosol generators at a dose of 1 liter of solution per 10 m3 of area. Before breeding animals, the premises are ventilated for 30-60 minutes.
- For warm aerosol disinfection, use a 4% solution of Ecocide C (400 g of the drug per 10 liters of water) at the consumption of 1 liter of solution per 40 m3 of area. First, a strengthening agent (glycerin and others) is mixed to form a fog with water at the rate of 15 units of strengthening agent to 85 units of water. Then Ecocid S is added to the solution. Aerosol disinfection is carried out in rooms (barns) for 30-60 minutes using a thermal fog generator.
- A 1% solution of Ecocide C is used for decontamination and for processing the wheels of vehicles, shoes, and animal cages. The solution in decontamination is changed every 4 days or as contamination increases.
