Description:

Powder from white to light gray with a specific odor.

Structure:

1 g of the drug contains active ingredient:

deltamethrin – 0.3 mg.

Excipients: butyl acetate, talc.

Pharmacological properties:

ATCvet QP53F, insecticides (QP53FF03. Deltamethrin).

Synthetic pyrethroid deltamethrin acts on ectoparasites as a contact poison, with direct contact it is effective against lice (Trichodectidae), lice (Haematopinidae, Holopeuridae, Linognathidae), blood-sucking insects (Hіppoboscidae, mutans, families Ixodidae, Argasidae, Dermanyssidae), bedbugs (Hemiptera), chewing lice (Mallophaga), fleas (Aphaniptera, Echidnophaga gallinacea) and other parasites. Deltamethrin blocks the transmission of nerve impulses by the peripheral nerves of parasites, resulting in their paralysis and death. The drug is moderately toxic to warm-blooded animals. Toxic to fish and bees.

Application:

Treatment and prevention of cattle, pigs, dogs, cats, poultry, ornamental birds and rodents affected by ectoparasites: fleas, lice, scab and ixodid ticks, hair eaters, blood-sucking insects (flies, gnats, bedbugs, etc.).

Dosage:

Outwardly. The drug is applied to the hair of animals or pores of a bird with powders, followed by rubbing into the skin against the growth of hair or pores, avoiding contact with the mucous membranes, in the following doses:

• cattle, pigs, dogs of large breeds – 100-300 g per head;
• cats and dogs of small breeds – 5-30 g per head;
• decorative rodents (hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits) – 0.5-3.0 g per head;
• decorative birds (parrots, canaries, pigeons) – 0.5-1.0 g per head by dusting under the wings;
• poultry (chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks) – 10-15 g per head.

In case of severe infection with ticks, the dose of the drug can be increased depending on body weight and the degree of damage by 10-50%.

In the season of intense attack of ectoparasites, the treatment of animals and poultry is recommended to be repeated after 10-14 days.

For the purpose of prophylaxis in poultry farms, it is recommended to use baths made of sand or ash with the addition of the Insectal preparation: 20-50 parts of sand or ash + 1 part of the preparation.

Treatment of places where animals are kept is carried out at the rate of 10 g of the drug per 1 m2 of area.

Contraindications:

Do not treat sick, weakened, emaciated animals and poultry, especially those with skin diseases.

Do not handle animals under 2 months of age.

Caveats:

The personnel who work with the drug must adhere to the basic rules of hygiene and safety adopted when working with veterinary drugs (avoid getting the drug on the mucous membranes of animals; carry out mass processing of animals in overalls, rubber gloves and respirators; after finishing the treatment, hands and open skin areas wash with soap; if the drug gets on the mucous membranes, rinse them with water; when processing animals, it is forbidden to eat, drink, smoke).

Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed 5 days after the last use of the drug. In case of forced slaughter of an earlier established date, meat is used to feed unproductive animals.
