Description:
Transparent liquid from light yellow to yellow color with a specific odor.
Compound:
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance deltamethrin – 0.25 mg.
Excipients: dimethylacetamide, o-xylene, essential oil, isopropyl alcohol.
Pharmacological properties:
ATCvet QP53F, insecticides (QP53FA03. Deltamethrin).
Synthetic pyrethroid deltamethrin acts on ectoparasites as a contact poison, with direct contact it is effective against lice (Trichodectidae), lice (Haematopinidae, Holopeuridae, Linognathidae), blood-sucking insects (Hіppoboscidae, Ixodidae, Argasidae, Dermanyssidae), bedbugs (Hemiptera), fleas (Ctenocephalides canis Ct. Felis) and other parasites. Deltamethrin blocks the transmission of nerve impulses of parasites, resulting in their paralysis and death. The drug is moderately toxic to warm-blooded animals. Toxic to fish and bees.
Application:
Treatment of dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals, decorative rodents, cattle, pigs, sheep and goats in case of damage by ectoparasites: fleas, lice, scab and ixodid ticks, hair beetles; to protect animals against blood-sucking insects (flies, midges, horseflies, etc.).
Disinsection and deacarization of premises and places where animals are kept, as well as for the destruction of red ticks of birds, chewing lice, cockroaches, ants and other insects.
Dosage:
Outwardly. The drug is applied to the hair and skin of animals by spraying, avoiding contact with mucous membranes. The drug is used depending on the age and body weight of the animal in doses:
dogs – 5-30 ml;
cats – 3-10 ml;
fur animals – 5-20 ml;
decorative rodents – 0.5-2 ml;
cattle – 30-100 ml;
pigs – 10-30 ml;
goats and sheep – 10-30 ml.
Dogs, fur-bearing animals and cats are sprayed for a few seconds against the coat until it is lightly moistened. Spray the affected areas thoroughly. Places around the eyes, mouth and nose of animals are treated with a swab soaked in the preparation.
It is recommended to repeat the treatment of animals:
from fleas and ticks during the season of intense attack – after 10 -14 days, later – depending on the degree of infection;
to protect against flies and midges – after 6 – 8 days.
In order to protect animals from re-infection with ectoparasites, the places where they are kept and rest and other places where parasites can be (bedding, cracks in the floor and furniture) are subjected to two treatment with the drug with an interval of 10 days.
11-12 pressings on the dispenser is 1 ml of the drug.
Contraindications:
Do not handle sick and weakened animals, animals with skin diseases.
Do not handle animals under the age of 2 months, females in the last third of pregnancy and during lactation.
Caveats:
The personnel who work with the drug must adhere to the basic rules of hygiene and safety adopted when working with veterinary drugs (mass processing of animals should be carried out
in overalls, rubber gloves and respirators; after finishing the treatment, wash your hands and open skin areas with soap and water; if the drug gets on the skin and mucous membranes, rinse them with running water; during processing, it is prohibited to eat, drink, smoke).
After treatment with the drug, it is not recommended to bathe pets for 2 hours – until the coat is completely dry, it is impossible to iron and allow them to reach small children.
Carry out mass processing of animals in the open air or in a well-ventilated area.
Do not spray the drug near open flames.
It is forbidden to reuse empty containers for another purpose.
The slaughter of animals for meat and the use of milk for human consumption is allowed, respectively, 5 days and 3 days after the last use of the drug. The meat and milk obtained before the specified time is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor.
