About product LOXICOM injectable anti-inflammatory non-steroidal preparation for cattle, pigs and horses, 100 ml
Structure
1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient: meloxicam – 20 mg.
Application
Cattle: treatment of animals with acute inflammation of the respiratory system (with appropriate antibiotic therapy); as an adjunct in the treatment of calves (over 1 week of age) with diarrhea; with acute mastitis in cows (as an additional therapy); to relieve post-operative pain after horn removal in calves.
Pigs: treatment of animals for diseases of the musculoskeletal system (to reduce inflammation and pain), as well as ancillary therapy in the treatment of postpartum sepsis and toxemia (mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome) with appropriate antibiotic therapy.
Horses: to reduce inflammation and pain in acute and chronic inflammatory processes of the musculoskeletal system and colic (as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever).
Dosage
Cattle: subcutaneously or intravenously at a dose of 0.5 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight (2.5 ml of the drug per 100 kg of body weight) once. The recommended maximum volume of the drug for injection in one place is 10.0 ml.
Pigs: intramuscularly at a dose of 0.4 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight (2.0 ml of the drug per 100 kg of body weight) once. If necessary, repeat the injection after 24 hours. The recommended maximum volume of the drug for injection in one place is 2.0 ml.
Horses: intravenous dose of 0.6 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight (3.0 ml of the drug per 100 kg of body weight) once.
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient.
Do not use on animals with impaired liver, heart and kidney function, with possible ulceration or bleeding in the alimentary canal, with pathological changes in the blood.
Do not use in calves under 1 week of age.
Do not use in foals under 6 weeks of age. Do not use in pregnant or lactating mares.
Do not use concomitantly with glucocorticoids, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and anticoagulants.
Release form
Vials made of colorless glass, sealed with bromobutyl stoppers under an aluminum roll of 100 ml. Secondary packaging – boxes containing 1 bottle.
