iodoform – 2 mg.
Excipient: talc.
Pharmacological properties:
ATC vetQD06, antibiotics and veterinary chemotherapy drugs for use in dermatology
The drug has antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and adsorbing effects, which are due to the content of streptocide, iodoform and zinc oxide.
Streptocid is a sulfanilamide bacteriostatic drug that is active against gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp. And others) and gram-negative microorganisms (Escherichia coli Salmonella spp., Klebs Proteiella spp., Klebs Proteiella spp., ., Bordetella spp., Shigella spp. And others). As a competitive antagonist of para-aminobenzoic (PAB) acid, streptocide is included in the metabolic chain of microorganisms, which leads to a violation of the synthesis of dihydrofolic and then tetrahydrofolic acids and, as a consequence, to a violation of the synthesis of nucleic acids and metabolic processes in the microbial cell.
Iodoform is a potent broad-spectrum antiseptic. Under the influence of light, oxygen, enzymes of the animal body and wound exudate, iodoform slowly disintegrates with the release of pure iodine, which has an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, enhances the growth of granulation tissues and helps cleanse the wound.
Zinc oxide exhibits a weak antimicrobial, astringent, absorbent effect, dries the skin, which leads to a decrease in exudation and helps to reduce local manifestations of inflammation and irritation.
Application:
Treatment and prevention of diseases and skin lesions in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals and decorative animals (infected, fresh and purulent wounds; ulcers, fistulas, weeping eczema, dermatitis); injuries and diseases of hooves, claws and horns; for the treatment of pislyakastratsy and postoperative wounds, abscesses and phlegmons after surgery.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Powdered with the preparation, the affected skin areas are cleaned of dirt and exudate residues and 2-3 cm around them. For wounds after surgery, a single treatment is sufficient; in other cases, the affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day until epithelialization or scarring of the wounds.
Contraindications:
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.

Restrictions on the use of meat and milk for human consumption have not been established.
