Description:
Sterile injection solution.
Transparent colorless solution.
Structure:
1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient:
Gentamicin sulfate – 100 mg
Pharmachologic effect:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts bactericidal against some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Pasteurella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycoplasma, Klebsiella and others).
The drug inhibits the synthesis of proteins in bacterial cells. Resistance to it develops slowly and very rarely.
Application:
Treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory organs of bacterial etiology in cattle, calves, sheep, goats, pigs.
Dosage:
Intramuscularly in a dose:
1 ml per 20-40 kg of live weight, twice a day, for 3 days.
Do not inject more than 20 ml for cattle, 10 ml for pigs and 5 ml for other animals in one injection site.
Contraindications:
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to gentamicin, as well as to animals with impaired liver and kidney function. Do not use concomitantly with nephrotoxic antibiotics.
Caveats:
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 45 days after the last use of the drug. Milk consumption is allowed 7 days after the last use of the drug. Received before the specified time, meat and milk are disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor.
Release form:
Vials made of dark glass are closed with a rubber stopper for an aluminum rim of 100 ml.
Storage:
The drug is stored in a dry, dark place at a temperature of + 15 ° C to + 25 ° C. After the first selection from the bottle, the drug must be used within 14 days, provided that it is stored in a dark place at a temperature of + 2 ° C to + 8 ° C.
