Structure:
Rimadyl R is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in
the form of tablets for oral administration, containing as an active
Carprofen means – 20 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg per tablet, and as ancillary

vegetable protein, corn starch, confectionery sugar, glucose syrup,
gelatin type A, magnesium stearate, and lactose monohydrate.

Dosage form:
In appearance, Rimadyl R with liver flavor represents
light brown tablets with an embossed letter “R” on one side of the tablet and
dividing groove on the other side.
Packaging, storage conditions, shelf life: Rimadyl R tablets with liver taste
20, 30, 50, 60, 100 or 180 tablets are packed in square-shaped vials made of
white high density polyethylene with polypropylene cap, inaccessible
for opening by children. Each bottle in Russian is labeled with the indication
the name of the medicinal product, the name of the manufacturing organization and its address,
name and content of the active substance, purpose, storage conditions,
series numbers, date of manufacture and expiration date, with the inscription “For animals”.

Pharmacological properties:
Carprofen, the active ingredient of Rimadyl R, belongs to the group of non-steroidal

Carprofen, like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, inhibits
cycloxygenase in the arachidonic acid cycle. In this case, the drug is mainly

inflammation, swelling, and pain. At therapeutic doses, carprofen is much weaker

locomotor system. Rimadil tablets are also used for analgesia and as
anti-inflammatory agent to reduce postoperative pain and swelling.
Liver-flavored Rimadyl tablets are administered orally during the initial period of treatment in
a daily dose of 4 mg of carprofen per 1 kg of body weight. It is recommended to divide the daily allowance
dose in two equal parts. After 7 days of treatment depending on clinical indication
the daily dose can be reduced to 2 mg / kg body weight.
For diseases of the musculoskeletal system, the duration of treatment depends on
the condition of the animal and under the supervision of a veterinarian can continue in
