Pharmacological properties:
The ointment has an antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory effect, which is due to the content of streptocide. Streptocid is a bacteriostatic sulfonamide, active against gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp. Corynebacterium spp. And others) and gram-negative microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Protedeus Spr., Shigella spp. and others). As a competitive antagonist of para-aminobenzoic (PAB) acid, streptocide is included in the metabolic chain of microorganisms, which leads to disruption of the synthesis of dihydrofolic and then tetrahydrofolic acids and, as a consequence, to disruption of the synthesis of nucleic acids and metabolic processes in the microbial cell
Application:
To accelerate the healing and treatment in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals and decorative animals of diseases and damage to the skin and mucous membranes (infected, fresh and purulent wounds, ulcers, fistulas, weeping eczema, dermatitis , bedsores, burns, frostbite, cracked udder nipples, superficial surgical pathologies).
Dosage:
The ointment is applied externally with a thin layer on the affected skin areas and 2-4 cm around them 1-2 times a day until the clinical effect.
