Description
Clear solution, slightly yellowish in color, odorless.
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance:
ivermectin – 20.0 mg.
Excipients: glycerol formal, propylene glycol, polysorbate, distilled water – up to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties
Automatic telephone exchange vet QP54AA, avermectins (QP54AA01, ivermectin)
The active substance of the drug is ivermectin – a mixture of two semi-synthetic derivatives of avermectins, which are biosynthesized by actinomycetes of the species Streptomyces avermitilis and belong to macrocyclic lactones.
Ivermectin stimulates the release of the neurotransmitter inhibition of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which blocks the transmission of nerve impulses through the interneurons of the ventral nerve trunk of nematodes and neuromuscular connections of arthropods, leading to paralysis and death of parasites. The drug is characterized by a pronounced effect on endo- and ectoparasites of poultry, pigs and rabbits.
Application
Therapeutic and prophylactic deworming and insect-acaricidal treatment of pigs, rabbits, poultry in invasive diseases caused by:
– in birds (chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, pigeons, ostriches) mature and larval forms of nematodes of the families: Acuaridae, Amidostomatidae, Ascaridae, Capillariidae, Dioctophymidae, Heterakidae, Sungamidae, Tetrameridae ; cestodes families Davaineata ; ectoparasitic diseases caused by: mites of the species Argas persis, Dermanyssus gallinae, Epidermoptes bilobatus, Knemidocoptes gallinae, K. mutans, K. pilae, Syringophilus bipectinalus ; downy mildew, feathers and fleas, of which the most pathogenic are the species: Menopon gallinae, Menacanthus stramineus, Goniodes hologaster, Lipeurus caponis, Echilnophaga gallinacean, Ceratophyllus gallina ;
– in pigs with helminthiasis mature and larval forms of nematodes of the families: Ascaridae, Metastrongylidae, Oligacanthohynchidae, Ollulanidae, Strongyloididae, Trichonematidae, Trichuridae ; in acarosis caused by mites of Demodex phylloides, Sarcoptes parvula, S. suis and entomoses (lice) – Haema t opinus suis ;
– in rabbits by nematodes from the families Oxyuridae, Strongyloidae, Trichostrongylidae; acarosis caused by mite species Psoroptes cuniculi, Cheyle t iella parasitovorax, Listophorus gibbus and fleas Spilopsyllus cuniculi .
Dosage
Poultry (chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, pigeons, ostriches): the dose is 1 ml / 50 kg of body weight. The dose of the drug determined for the group of birds is diluted in one third of the drinking water that the bird receives during the day. This dose can be divided into 3 parts, each of which is fed in this way for three days.
Pigs: for animals of rearing and fattening groups the dose is 1 ml / 50 kg of body weight. The dose of the drug determined for a group of animals is diluted in one third of the daily requirement of drinking water and watered within one day.
Rabbits: the dose is 1 ml / 50 kg body weight. Divide the prescribed dose into 5 parts, and add daily to the daily requirement of water for rabbits.
Treatment of all species of animals should be carried out in the morning after the previous shutdown of the watering system for two hours. If necessary (in the presence of pathogens of ectoparasitosis), the treatment is repeated in a week. At the same time it is necessary to desaccharize the premises with registered insecticides.
Contraindication
Do not use in laying hens whose eggs are used for human consumption.
Reservation
After the last administration of the drug Brovermectin 2% (water-soluble) slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed in 10 days, pigs and rabbits – 24 days. In case of forced slaughter before the specified term, the meat is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
If it is necessary to use the drug in laying hens, eggs obtained from them during treatment can not be used for human consumption for 7 days, they are fed to unproductive animals.
Release form
Vials made of orange glass or polymers are hermetically sealed with corks for aluminum running in 10, 50, 100, 200 and polymer vials of 500 and 1000 ml.
Storage
Dry, dark place at a temperature of 4 to 25 ° C.
Shelf life – 2 years.

Ivermectin refers to a chemical group of macrocyclic lactones. The pharmacological action of the drug is to block neural impulses between interneurons and motor neurons in the ventral excitatory stem parasites, which leads to paralysis and death.

Ivermectin has a pronounced antiparasitic effect on the larval and sexually mature stages of the nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs, larvae of subcutaneous, nasopharyngeal, gastric gadfly, lice, bloodsuckers, and sarcoptoid mites. The drug enhances the production of a neurotransmitter inhibition - gamma-aminobutyric acid, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis, and death of the parasite.
Due to the micellar dosage form of ivermectin and the addition of vitamin E, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site, distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal, providing a parasiticidal effect for 10 to 14 days. In recommended doses, it does not have a sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic effect. It is excreted mainly with urine and bile, in lactating animals with milk. In the external environment, the drug is rapidly destroyed. Toxic to fish and bees.
