Calcium chloride solution 10% 200 ml
Description:
Transparent colorless liquid.
Storage:
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance (mg):
calcium chloride hexahydrate 100.0.
Excipient: water for injections.
Pharmacological properties:
The action of the drug is due to calcium ions, which activate the system of mononuclear phagocytes and phagocytic function of leukocytes; increase the tone of sympathetic innervation; increase the release of adrenaline; accelerate the synthesis of enzymes; present in the processes of blood clotting; reduce the permeability of cells and the vascular wall, which prevents the development of inflammatory reactions and prevents edema; suppress exudative reactions; affect the hyaluronidase of the vascular wall.
Calcium ions activate the transmission of nerve impulses, reduce skeletal and smooth
muscles; maintain the rhythm and tone of the heart, the formation of bone tissue, reduce the action of toxins.
After intravenous administration of the drug stimulates the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system; increased adrenal secretion of adrenaline; moderate diuretic effect is manifested. Calcium is one of the main mineral components of bones; excreted by the intestines and kidneys.
Application:
The drug is used in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs as an anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, desensitizing agent; to increase the level of calcium in the blood, to normalize the activity of the sympathetic nervous system in:
• general calcium deficiency and metabolic disorders (osteodystrophy, rickets);
• pneumonia, pleurisy, toxic liver disease, parenchymal hepatitis, nephritis, radiation sickness, pulmonary edema, larynx, redness, edema of piglets;
• bleeding (nasal, pulmonary, uterine, postoperative, digestive tract), to reduce the permeability of cells and vascular wall in hemorrhagic, inflammatory and exudative phenomena;
• allergic diseases (serum sickness, itchy skin, bloody horse disease, urticaria in horses and cattle), allergic reactions after the use of drugs;
• hypotension and atony of the pancreas in ruminants, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, tetany of young animals to increase the level of calcium in the blood, relieving seizures;
• autonomic neuroses, eclampsia in dogs, acetonemia in cows, paralytic myoglobinuria in horses;
• poisoning with magnesium salts, oxalic acid and its salts, sodium chloride;
• in obstetric and gynecological practice (endometritis, metritis; stimulation of childbirth; to accelerate the separation of manure in its delay; to prevent abortion; in childbirth paresis; postpartum hematuria in cows; prenatal and postpartum addictions; tetany of pregnant animals; decalcification lactation).
Dosage:
The drug is administered intravenously slowly 1-2 times a day, in doses (per animal):
cattle 150-400 ml;
horses 100-300 ml;
sheep, goats 10-30 ml;
