Description

Doramax solution, 100 ml

Olive liquid from colorless to yellowish.

Composition
1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient: doramectin – 10 mg.
Excipients: ethylate, butylhydroxyanisole, benzyl alcohol, cottonseed oil.

Pharmacological properties
of ATS vet QP54, endectocides (QP54AA03, doramectin).
The active substance of the drug is doramectin – a macrocyclic lactone, a semi-synthetic derivative of the avermectin group. Doramectin exhibits a wide spectrum of systemic nematocidal, insecticidal and acaricidal action, larvicidal and ovicidal properties. Modulates the activity of chlorine ions in the nervous system and muscles of nematodes and arthropods. By binding to specific receptors, it increases the permeability of synaptic membranes for chlorine ions, which leads to blocking the activity of nerve and muscle cells of nematodes and arthropods, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites. In mammals, these receptors are located only in the central nervous system, and doramectin does not penetrate the blood-brain barrier, therefore, in recommended doses, it is safe for mammals.
The drug in recommended doses does not have mutagenic, teratogenic and embryotoxic effects.
The drug Doramax is easily absorbed from the injection site, has high efficiency and does not have a negative effect on the animal body. The pharmacokinetic features of doramectin ensure the preservation of therapeutic concentrations in the blood of animals and provide long-term protection against reinvasion. The prolonged effect is twice as long compared to other drugs containing ivermectin.

Indications for use
Treatment and prevention of cattle, sheep, pigs, cats, dogs, rabbits for diseases caused by endo- and ectoparasites.
Cattle:

  • Gastrointestinal nematodes (adults and 4th stage larvae): Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited larval stage), O.lyrata (adults), Haemonchus riasei, Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, C.pectinata, C.punctata, C.surnabada (syn. memasteri), Nematodirus spathiger (adults), Bunostomum phlebotomum, Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Trichuris spp (adults);
  • lungworms (adults and 4th stage larvae): Dictyocaulus viviparous;
  • eye helminths (mature): Thelazia spp.;
  • subcutaneous gadfly larvae (parasitic stages): Hypoderma bovis. H. lineatum;
  • lice: Haematopinus euresternus, Linognatus vituli, Solenopotes capillatus;
  • scabies mites: Psoroptes bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei.

It is also used for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by gastrointestinal helminths Nematodirus helvetianus, lice Damalinia bovis and scabies mites Chorioptes bovis.
The drug prevents reinvasion of cattle from: Ostertagia ostertagi – 35 days; Cooperia oncophora – 21 days; Dictyocaulus viviparus – 35 days; Bunostomum phlebotomum – 22 days; Oesophagostomum radialum – 21 days; Trichostrongilus axei – 28 days; Linognatus vituli – 28 days; Psoroptes bovis – 42 days; Haemonchus placei – 28 days.
For greater efficiency, it is recommended to treat commercial livestock with the drug when moving to pastures and a second time after 8 weeks.
Sheep:

  • Gastrointestinal nematodes (adults and 4th stage larvae): Chabertia ovina (mature stage), Cooperia curticei (L 4 stage), C. oncophora, Gaigeria pachyselis, Haemonchus contortus, Nematodirus battus (L 4 stage), Ostertagia (Teledorsagia ) circumcincta (effectively acts on L4 larval stages, even those that are naturally insensitive to benzimidazole derivatives), Oesophagostomum columbianum, Strongyloides papillosus, Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus columbiformis, Trichostrongilus vitrinus, Trichuris spp. (mature stage)
  • scabies mites: Psoroptes ovis,
  • pulmonary helminths: Dictyocaulus filaria (adults),
  • ovoid larvae: Oestrus ovis.

Pigs:

  • gastrointestinal nematodes (adults and 4th stage larvae): Hyostrongylus rubidus, Ascaris suum, Strongyloides ransomi, Oesophagostomum dentatum, Oesophagostomum quadrispinulatum;
  • lungworms: Metastrongylus spp. (mature stage only);
  • kidney worms: Stephanurus dentatus (mature stage only)
  • lice: Haematopinus suis;
