Description
1 ml of solution contains 0.25 mg of cloprostenol (sodium salt). Cloprostenol, a synthetic functional analogue of prostaglandin F2a, has a specific luteolytic effect. Its application in the luteral phase of the estrous cycle causes the corpus luteum to disappear and thus creates the prerequisites for the onset of estrus and ovulation. The period from the introduction of the drug to the first signs of an oncoming estrus lasts about 48-60 hours. The most suitable time for artificial insemination is about 76 hours after administration (in mares, it is 24 hours later). It acts specifically luteolytically, causing the death of the corpus luteum and thus creating the prerequisites for the onset of heat and ovulation 48 – 60 hours after the administration of the drug.

INDICATIONS

synchronization and induction of estrus in dry cows, cows and mares. Sow farrowing induction. In cattle and small ruminants: functional disorders of the ovaries, postpartum and postservice anestrus (quiet estrus, disturbed periodicity of the cycle; anovulation cycle; persistent corpus luteum, luteral cyst); post-puerperal diseases of the uterus, endometritis, suppuration of the uterus; interruption of normal and pathological pregnancy (in the first half of pregnancy); combination therapy of follicular cysts (from 10 days after the administration of HCG or LHRH, after establishing a positive ovarian response). In mares: anestrus (quiet estrus; persistent diestrus, embryonic miscarriages, lactational anestrus, interruption of pseudopregnancy); termination of normal and pathological pregnancy (in the first half of pregnancy).

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS

Mares show slight sweating that disappears within one hour of administration. Animals must not be delivered to the slaughterhouse within 24 hours after administration of the drug. The milk of cows with the injected preparation can be used for food purposes without restriction.

DOSAGE

0.7-2 ml of the drug one-time, depending on the indications and the type of animals. The drug is administered intramuscularly 2 ml 2 times with an interval of 10 days. The first introduction – in any phase of the sexual cycle (in cows from the 40th to the 60th day after birth). The drug is administered intramuscularly. Artificial insemination is advisable to carry out in cows after 76 hours from the moment of administration of the drug, in mares 24 hours later.

Synchronization of estrus:
Enter 2 ml of the drug (0.50 mg of active ingredient) 2 times in the interval of 10 days. The first dose of the drug is administered in any phase of the sexual cycle (in cows, 40-60 days after calving). On the 11th day after the first application, the second dose is administered, on the 14th day (72-76 hours after the second dose), artificial insemination (regardless of external signs of estrus) is carried out, followed by repeated artificial insemination (15th day). Before each use of the drug for synchronization in cattle, an examination of the genital organs should be preceded. The prerequisite for the inclusion of animals in groups is the physiological state of their genitals, in dry cows their bodily and sexual maturity.
Functional disorders of the ovaries:
Enter 2 ml of the drug, artificial insemination is carried out at the first estrus. If estrus does not occur, the drug is re-injected at a dose of 2 ml on the 11th day after the first application, followed by artificial insemination after 72 – 76 hours, if necessary, repeated artificial insemination is carried out. For the treatment of follicular cysts, 2 ml of the drug is injected once, no earlier than on the 10th day after the administration of HCG or LHRH after a positive ovarian response has been established. The heat will also come on the 3rd day after the injection of Estrofan solution for injection.
Post-puerperal diseases of the uterus:
2 ml of the drug is administered, if necessary, the treatment can be supplemented with intrauterine application of preparations in the form of foam or washing (best of all simultaneously with the application), on the 11th day – repeated application, 14th day – artificial insemination, 15th day – repeated artificial insemination.
Termination of pregnancy:
Inject 2 ml of the drug (further care depending on the clinical condition).
Sows:
A single dose of 0.7 ml of the drug (0.175 mg of active ingredient) is administered from 111 days of gestation. Most of the induced farrowing occurs before 40 hours of administration with a culmination between 24 -35 hours.
Mares:
A single dose is 1 ml of the drug (0.25 mg of active ingredient). In mares with a cycle, the drug is administered in the period from 5 to 13 days after estrus. The most suitable time for mating is 4-6 days after application
