The mechanism of the antibacterial activity of amoxicillin lies in the disruption of the formation of the bacterial wall, which leads to its death.
After oral administration, amoxicillin is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the animal. The maximum concentration in the blood serum is reached 2 hours after administration and is at a therapeutic level during the day. The antibiotic is excreted from the body mainly through the kidneys.
According to the degree of impact on the body, Remox 500 belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007), in recommended doses it is well tolerated by animals.
Indications for the use of REMOX 500
For medicinal purposes for pigs and for medicinal and prophylactic purposes for agricultural poultry when:
– colibacillosis;
– salmоnellosis;
– other bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract and the respiratory tract caused by pathogens sensitive to amoxicillin.
Application procedure
Remox 500 is administered to pigs orally with water for drinking or with milk replacer in a daily dose of 20-40 mg per 1 kg of animal weight (which corresponds to 10-20 mg of amoxicillin / kg of animal weight).
For birds, the required amount of Remox 500 per 1 dm 3 of water is calculated by the formula:

0.04 is the dose of Remox 500 (g / kg of poultry weight), m is the concentration of Remox 500 in drinking water (g / dm 3 ), M is the total live weight of the treated poultry population (kg), V is the total daily water consumption by the livestock (dm 3 ).
The drug is used for 3-5 days.
Side effects
When using the drug in accordance with the instructions, side effects are not observed.
Contraindications to the use of the drug Remox 500
– simultaneous administration with bacteriostatic antibiotics and preparations containing carboxymethyl cellulose;
– poultry whose eggs are used for food purposes.
Special instructions and measures for personal prevention
Slaughter of pigs and poultry for meat is allowed no earlier than 15 days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed earlier than the established date can be used for fur-bearing animals.
