Instructions for use of the drug LAHESIS compositum
Lachesis compositum ad us. vet.
Homeopathic medicine for use in veterinary medicine.
Composition:
1 ampoule 5 ml. contains: Lachesis D6 0.1 ml; Pyrogenium D6 0.1 ml; Echinacea angustifolia D1 0.1 ml; Pulsatilla D2 0.1 ml; Sabina D3 0.1 ml.
Indications:
Prevention and therapy of mastitis, metritis, agalactia (MMA syndrome), regulation of leaks and placental separation, postpartum temperature. Acute septic processes of any localization, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, metritis, pyelitis, chronic often recurrent inflammatory diseases, weakness of the heart muscle, myocarditis, metrorhagia, postpartum hemorrhage, delayed afterbirth, eclampsia, purulent mastitis.
Contraindications, side effects:  none.
Interaction with other drugs:  no peculiarities.
Waiting period for effect:  none.
A brief description of the individual components:
Lachesis
dysfunction of the glands; infectious diseases; general detoxification therapy of the blood system; inflammation of the veins; angina pectoris; convulsions.
Pyrogenium
severe acute infections with fever; tendency to septic conditions (chills, fever).
Echinacea angustifolia
supportive therapy for severe febrile infections
(stimulation of cellular immunity).
Pulsatilla
skin diseases; inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract; tendency to colds; dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract, including inflammation; pathology of the genital organs of females, including those of an inflammatory nature; vaginitis with discharge; cystitis with impaired emptying of the bladder; rheumatic diseases; inflammatory diseases of the eyes, ear; cephalalgia; neuropsychiatric disorders; behavioral disturbances.
Sabina
specific action on the uterus, as well as on the serous and fibrous membranes; delayed discharge of the placenta; atony of the uterus.
Duration and method of application:
Introduced s / c., I / m., I / v.
In accordance with the size of the animal, a single dose is:
For sports horses – 5.0 – 10.0 ml.
Large dogs – 3.0 – 4.0 ml.
Medium dogs – 2.0 ml.
Small dogs, cats – 1.0 – 2.0 ml.
Puppies, kittens – 0.5 – 1.0 ml.
If necessary, repeat the dose after 24 hours.
ORAL (in the form of drinking ampoules):
Sport horses:
– adults – 20-30 drops;
– foals – 15-20 drops;
Dogs:
– adults – 7-12 drops;
– newborn puppies – 5 drops;
– weaned from the mother – 7 drops.
Cats:
– adults – 7 drops;
– newborn kittens – 5 drops;
– weaned from the mother – 7 drops.
Birds of cage content: 1.0 ml. diluted in 10.0 ml. drinking water.
Rodents: 2 drops.
Release form and packaging:  5 and 50 ampoules of 5 ml.

Additional Information.
Lachesis compositum should be prescribed 12-24 hours after delivery. Studies have shown that the incidence of MMA syndrome decreased to 7% compared to 69% in the control group. It was also found that the use of Lachesis compositum in the initial stages of the onset of symptoms allows therapeutic success in 95.7% of cases.
