Nemasectin paste (aversectin) 14 g

Compound:

100 g of the drug contains the active ingredient aversectin C – 1 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Nemasectin is an antiparasitic agent against a wide range of endoparasites. The active ingredient of the drug, aversectin C, affects the flux of chlorine ions through the membranes of the nerve and muscle cells of the parasite. The main targets are glutamate-sensitive chlorine channels, as well as gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors. A change in the flow of chlorine ions disrupts the conduction of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of the parasite. The drug in the parasite’s body enhances the formation of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which binds to special receptors of nerve endings, blocking nerve impulses, which causes paralysis and death of the parasite. The drug is low-toxic for warm-blooded animals and in the recommended dose has no sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic effects.

Application:

Treatment and prevention of horses for diseases caused by pathogens:

• nematodes (gastrointestinal, pulmonary, microfilariae): Ascaridae, Strongylidae Strongyloididae, Oxyuridae, Trihonematidae (Cyatostomatide), Spyruridae, Dictyocaulus spp., Parafilaria multipapillosa, Onchocerca cervicalis;
• gadfly larvae: Gastrophilus spp.

Dosage:

Orally, individually, as a single dose of 2 g per 100 kg of animal body weight.

Contraindications:

Do not handle weakened, overworked and sick animals.

Warning:

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last treatment. By the specified date, the meat of slaughtered animals can be used as feed for carnivores or for meat and bone meal. Mare’s milk is used as food for humans 14 days after processing.

Possible release form:

Syringe tubes of 14 g.

Storage:

The drug is stored in the manufacturer’s original packaging in dry, clean, ventilated rooms. The drug is protected from precipitation and direct sunlight. Storage temperature from minus 100C to 200C. The drug is stored with caution according to List B.

Storage together with pesticides, food products and feed is not allowed.

Expiration date:  2 years.
