Structure:
100 ml of the preparation contains (% vol.): Rectified ethyl alcohol – 70.
Pharmacological properties:
The drug has a pronounced antimicrobial, anti-fermentation, narcotic, general excitatory, astringent, disinfectant effect.
Application:
Depending on the dilution (for intravenous use, use a solution of the drug with a concentration of 33%, for internal use – from 10% to 40%, for disinfection – 50-70%), the drug is used:
as a general stimulant (10-40% solution) with exhaustion, general progressive weakness, collapse, prolonged labor, large blood loss, metabolic disorders;
as a tonic and antipyretic agent (10-40% solution) for acute septic processes, infectious diseases, pneumonia, gangrene of the lungs;
as an analgesic (10-40% solution) for severe traumatic tissue damage;
internally (10-40% solution) as a ruminatory and anti-fermenting agent for atony with tympanic proventriculum in ruminants, with rumen flatulence, acute expansion of the stomach in horses, with putrefactive processes in the intestine;
intravenously, a 33% solution is used to relieve colic in coprostasis and chymostasis, narrowing of the digestive tract;
as a disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and distracting agent, 50-70% alcohol solution is used externally in the form of liniment for impacts, inflammation of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, joints; as an astringent and disinfectant for skin burns.
Alcohol is used for the manufacture of some veterinary medicinal products (stimulants, anti-shock fluid according to M.V. Plakhotin, liniment against scabies, etc.), as a solvent for the dilution of veterinary medicinal products (veratrin, iodine, etc.).
Dosage:
As a means for anesthesia, a 33% solution is used intravenously in a dose per animal:
cattle – 400-600 ml;
sheep, goats – 100-150 ml.
As an anti-fermentation, analgesic and ruminant agent, a 40% solution is used orally in a dose per animal:
cattle – 150-200 ml;
sheep, goats – 60-100 ml.
Contraindications:
Do not administer orally or intravenously for heart or kidney disease.
Caveats:
Handle with care – flammable liquid.
Avoid contact with the mucous membrane of the eyes.
The drug is incompatible with diuretics, indirect anticoagulants, paracetamol, aspirin, vitamin B3, tryptophan, zinc preparations, metronidazole, furazolidone, cephalosporins, hypoglycemic agents, sulfonylurea derivatives, arsenic preparations, thiol mercury preparations.

Glass vials, bottles of 200 ml, 500 ml.
Storage:
Dry, dark place at temperatures from 5 ° C to 25 ° C.
In a tightly closed container, at a distance of at least 1 m from heating devices.
It is not allowed to store the drug together with organic acids (sulfuric, nitric), liquefied and compressed gases, flammable substances and materials (vegetable oils, sulfur, dressings), with inorganic salts that form explosive mixtures with organic substances (potassium chlorate, potassium permanganate , potassium chromate and others).
