Composition
Excipients: corn starch, lactose or maltodextrin – up to 1 g.
Pharmacological properties
Tinidazole is a synthetic drug with a wide spectrum of action: relatively protozoa (Balantidium coli, Entamoeba hystolytica, Treponema hyodysenterie Histomonas meleagridis, Lamblia intestinalis, Eimeria spp., Trichomonas columbae, T. gallinae); relative to anaerobes (Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Clostridium, Eubacter); most types of gram-positive and gram-negative cocks.
Application
Treatment of poultry (pigeons, decorative pheasants) suffering from histomoniasis, trichomoniasis, eimeriosis, salmonellosis;
– dogs and cats with giardiasis, anaerobic infections, amebiosis, trichomoniasis;
– decorative rabbits with eimeriosis.
Dosing
Poultry (pigeons, ornamental pheasants) – therapeutically at 2 g / kg feed for 10 days, and then prophylactically at a dose of 1 g / kg feed for the same time.
Dogs:
With giardiasis – 50 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 5 days; with anaerobic infections, the daily dose is 30 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 2-3 weeks; with amebiosis – 60 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 5 days.
For cats:
For giardiasis, trichomoniasis – 25 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 10 days.
Ornamental rabbits:
With eimeriosis: adults – 0.2-0.3 g / kg of body weight with food daily, for three days in a row, young animals during absence from their mothers (prophylactically) – 0.1 g / kg of body weight in within 10 days.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals with impaired renal and liver function, productive animals, and animals sensitive to tinidazole.
Precautions
Some animals may be hypersensitive to tinidazole with the appearance of an allergic reaction in the form of fever, urticaria, and vomiting. After stopping the use of the drug, these signs disappear without special intervention.
