Lincomycin 10%, Injection (lincomycin hydrochloride)

Description

Transparent colorless solution.

Composition

1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient: lincomycin hydrochloride – 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties

Lincomycin acts bacteriostatically against some gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, such as E. coli, Salmonella spp, Mycoplasma, Brucella, E. coli, Proteus spp.

Application

• Pigs: treatment of dysentery, mycoplasmosis, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract of bacterial etiology.
• Calves: treatment of enteritis, pneumonia.
• Sheep, goats: treatment of hoof rot.
• Poultry: treatment of mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, infectious arthritis.
• Dogs, cats: treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory organs of bacterial etiology.

Dosage

Intramuscularly 1-2 times a day at a dose:

• pigs, calves, sheep, goats – 1 ml per 10 kg of live weight;
• cats, dogs – 1 ml per 5 kg of live weight.
• poultry – 0.5 ml 2.5 kg live weight.

The course of treatment is 3-5 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to lincomycin. Not administered to rabbits.

Warning

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 7 days after the last injection of the drug. Until the specified time, the meat is fed to unproductive animals or disposed of.
