- oxytetracycline hydrochloride – 4.5 g;
- tylosin tartrate – 2.5 g
Pharmacological properties:
Brovaseptol® powder is a complex preparation of a wide spectrum of bactericidal and bacteriostatic action.
Tylosin tartrate is a macrolide antibiotic. Effective against gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms (Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp., Leptospira spp., Brucella spp., Neisseria spp., Haemophilus spp.), As well as Rickettsia spp.), Spirochetes (Spirochaetes), as well as against mycoplasmas (M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae, M. meleagridis, etc.). Tylosin tartrate exhibits a bacteriostatic effect by inhibiting protein synthesis (through irreversible connection with the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes) and, accordingly, the growth and reproduction of a microbial cell.
Norsulfazole is an antimicrobial bacteriostatic agent. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: E. coli, Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Vibrio cholerae, Clostridium perfringens, Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Yersinia pestcesii, Chlamydia spp., Actinomyxrael.
Sulgin is an antimicrobial bacteriostatic sulfonamide substance. The mechanism of action is due to the competitive inhibition of dihydropteroate synthetase, which leads to a violation of the synthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines.
Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, the mechanism of action of which is to disrupt protein synthesis when it interacts with ribosomes, as well as to reduce the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of sensitive microorganisms. The drug has a wide spectrum of action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Salmonella spp. ., and also affects protozoa (Protozoa), mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.), rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia).
Trimethoprim is a chemotherapeutic drug with a bactericidal effect against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp. And others) and gram-negative (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteteus spp., ., Bordetella spp., Etc.) of microorganisms. It inhibits bacterial reductase, which converts dehydrofolic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid, which is essential for the synthesis of purines and nucleic acids.
Application:
Treatment of animals and poultry for diseases of the digestive tract, respiratory tract and genitourinary system, namely:
- calves suffering from gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, vibriosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the constituents of the drug;
- pigs suffering from enzootic pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, edema, erysipelas, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the constituents of the drug;
- sheep suffering from septicemia, eimeriosis, infectious agalactia caused by microorganisms sensitive to the constituents of the drug;
- poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese), sick with typhus, cholera, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, rhinitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug.
Dosage:
Orally with food.
Treatment of pigs, poultry and rabbits is carried out mainly by the group method by uniformly mixing the daily amount of compound feed with the drug.
To 100 kg of compound feed add:
pigs – 300-350 g of the drug, poultry and rabbits – 400 g of the drug.
For all types, the daily dose of the drug is 1.0-1.2 g per 10 kg of body weight.
The daily dose is given in two doses. Depending on the condition of the disease, the dose of Brovaseptol may be increased by 30-100% during the first application.
Treatment is carried out until the clinical symptoms of the disease completely disappear and can be extended by 1-2 days.
Contraindications:
Do not use for the treatment of animals with hypersensitivity to norsulfazole, tylosin, oxytetracycline, sulgin, trimethoprim, as well as liver and kidney diseases. It is forbidden to use for the treatment of dairy cows, whose milk is used for human food, and laying hens, whose eggs are used for human food.
Warning:
Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed 8 days after the last use of the drug. The meat obtained before the specified time is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor.
