Description

Colorless or light yellow sterile solution.

Composition

1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient lincomycin (hydrochloride) – 50 mg; spectinomycin (sulfate) – 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties

The combination of lincomycin – spectonomycin is characterized by a broad spectrum of action due to synergy.

Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic, a waste product of Streptomyces lincolnensis.

The mechanism of action is inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of the 50S ribosomal subunit. Lincomycin acts on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium spp., Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella spp., Some species of Nocardis and Actinomyces spp.). Especially effective against Serpulina hyodysenteriae and Mycoplasma spp ..

Spectinomycin is an aminocyclic antibiotic derived from Streptomyces spectabilis. Acts mainly on gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Haemophilus spp., Vibrio spp.), As well as mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.). The mechanism of action is inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of the 30S ribosomal subunit.

Application

• Calves: treatment of animals with pneumonia and enteritis (pneumoenteritis) caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.
• Sheep: treatment of animals with necrobacillosis, as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.
• Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from enzootic pneumonia, dysentery, enteritis, arthritis, swine fever and secondary bacterial infections in viral diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.
• Dogs: treatment of animals for diseases of the respiratory system, skin and genitourinary system (such as pneumonia, pharyngitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, pyoderma, dermatitis, abscesses, cystitis, metritis) caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.
• Cats: treatment of animals for diseases of the respiratory system, genitourinary system, abscesses and infected wounds, secondary bacterial infections in viral diseases (panleukopenia, pneumonia, rhinotracheitis) caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.
• Poultry poultry (chickens, turkeys): treatment of poultry, a patient with an infection of the air sacs, cholera, staphylococcal infection, sinusitis and coryza, as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin and spectinomycin.

Dosage

Intramuscularly in a dose:

• calves – 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight 2 times a day on the first day of treatment and 1 time a day for the next 2-4 days;
• sheep and goats – 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight 1 time per day for 3 days;
• pigs – 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 3-7 days;
• dogs and cats – 1 ml of the drug per 5 kg.

The drug is administered every 12-24 hours. The course of treatment can last up to 21 days. Subcutaneously at a dose of poultry (chickens, turkeys) – 0.5 ml of the drug per 2.5 kg 1 time per day for 3 days.

Contraindications

Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to lincomycin and spectinomycin. Do not use on pregnant animals. Do not administer to rabbits, horses, guinea pigs, as well as laying hens whose eggs are used for human food. Do not use concomitantly with penicillin, cephalosporins and macrolides.

Warning

Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed, respectively, 15 (sheep, goats and poultry) and 21 (calves, pigs) days after the last use of the drug. The meat obtained by the specified date is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor.
