7.5 g of the drug (1 tablet) contain:

sulfadiazine sodium salt – 3975 mg

kanamycin sulfate – 50.25 mg

oxytetracycline hydrochloride – 50.25 mg

Description
Tablets are light brown, oval, flat.

Pharmacological properties
A complex drug with a broad spectrum of antibacterial action.

Sulfadiazine belongs to sulfanilamides due to its structural similarity to para-aminobenzoic acid, which inhibits the bacterial enzyme responsible for the biosynthesis of dihydrofolic acid, which is a precursor of folic acid in the bacterial cell.

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride inhibits the activity of bacterial ribosomes and leads to disruption of protein synthesis. A size of metabolic processes in the microbial cell are inhibited due to the formation of chelated compounds with divalent metal cations.

Kanamycin sulfate belongs to aminoglycoside antibiotics, penetrates the cell membrane and irreversibly binds to specific receptor proteins on the 30S subunit of ribosomes. Disrupts the formation of a complex between the template (RNA) RNA and 30S subunit of the ribosome, due to which the cell undergoes biosynthesis of defective proteins, the breakdown of polyribosomes and loses the ability to synthesize protein. Disrupts the structure and function of cytoplasmic membranes, causes rapid death of microbial cells.

Auxiliary foaming components ensure the spread of the drug throughout the uterine cavity and complete contact of antibiotics with the mucous membrane.

Indication
Treatment and prevention of cows with acute endometritis, metritis, cervicitis, vulvovaginitis caused by gram-positive, gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria – A. pyogenes, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Proteus spp. etc. Rehabilitation of the uterus after removal of the delayed manure.

APPLICATION
Method of application and dosage
Apply to cows intrauterinely in the following doses:

• prevention – 7.5-10 g on the first day after calving, once;

• treatment – 12.5-15 g, course – 3 days.

Reservation
When used in these doses, side effects are usually not observed. Allergic reactions are possible in hypersensitive animals.

After the last application of the drug, slaughter of animals for meat is allowed in 2 days, people can eat milk in 2 days. Meat obtained before this period is used only for the production of meat and bone meal, milk is fed to animals after heat treatment.

Contraindication
Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substances of the drug.
