Compound:

streptocide – 5 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Xeroform has astringent and drying properties, constricts blood vessels, reduces exudation, reduces sensitivity and weakens inflammatory processes. Strong antiseptic.

Streptocid refers to sulfa substances. It has a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action against gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., And others) and gram-negative microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteuretella spp., Borde and others), but almost inactive in relation to staphylococci. Streptocide acts bacteriostatically, preventing the use of para-aminobenzoic acid by microorganisms for the synthesis of dihydrofolic acid, which is involved in the synthesis of pyrimidine bases of DNA and RNA of microbial cells.

Application:

Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats for skin diseases (eczema, dermatitis, ulcers) caused by microorganisms sensitive to streptocide and xeroform. For the treatment of post-castration wounds and the prevention of post-castration complications.

Dosage:

Outwardly. Powder the affected skin areas and 2-3 cm around them. The affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day, until healing.

Contraindications:

Increased individual sensitivity to streptocide and xeroform.
