Pharmacological properties
A comprehensive feed additive to improve metabolism in animals and poultry, increase resistance, improve feed conversion rates and overall metabolism. It has antifibrotic, antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects, prevents the penetration of a number of hepatotoxic substances into cells, stimulates hepatocyte regeneration and normalizes liver function.
Carnitine is an amino acid related to B vitamins, which is synthesized in the liver. Participates in the transport of fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, is an important factor in maintaining the level of coenzyme acylation (coenzyme A) in cells of all types, has pronounced anabolic properties, stimulates muscle protein synthesis, mobilizes lipids from fat depot (liver, muscle , adipose tissue), improves appetite in animals, increases the activity of digestive enzymes and gastrointestinal secretory function, improves the absorption of nutrients from feed, reduces the intensity of apoptosis of cells of all types, increases the intensity of organic acids and ketone bodies to the Krebs cycle, which prevents acidosis and ketosis, increases the tone of skeletal muscles and myocardium, promotes rapid recovery after technological stress and exercise.
Silymarin – a mixture of flavonoids from the fruits of milk thistle (Silybum marianum), a powerful antioxidant, blocks receptors and transport systems on the cell membrane, which ensure the transfer of toxic substances into the cell, reduces the activity of macrophage cells, reduces the synthesis of gamma globulin and block, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and anticancer effects. When interacting with cell membranes, flavonoids inhibit the activity of cAMP and the process of activation of phospholipases and provide cytoprotective protection of hepatocytes. Due to its structural similarity to steroid hormones, silymarin stimulates protein synthesis and hepatocyte regeneration.
Betaine is a trimethyl glycine derivative, important for remethylation reactions and a “donor” of methyl groups. It has a choleretic, hepatoprotective and lipolytic effect. Activates metabolic methylation reactions and fat metabolism in the liver, helps to neutralize toxic substances and improve liver function, has a positive effect on hydration processes in cells, increases cell tone in general and stimulates digestive processes.
Methionine – an essential amino acid, has a metabolic and hepatoprotective effect, is a donor of mobile metal groups, necessary for the synthesis of choline, due to which deficiency disrupts the synthesis of phospholipids from fats and the deposition of neutral fat in the liver. Participates in the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids, in the synthesis of adrenaline, creatinine and other biologically important compounds, activates the action of hormones, vitamins (cyanocobalamin, ascorbic and folic acid), enzymes, proteins, lowers blood cholesterol and increases blood concentration. Neutralizes some toxic substances by methylation.
Sorbitol has a detoxifying and choleretic effect, restores the volume of circulating blood. Accumulates in the liver in the form of glycogen and is involved in energy metabolism.
Indication
Used in cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, dogs, cats, fur animals to stimulate metabolism, improve metabolism in the liver, reduce the risk of fatty liver disease, detoxification, stimulate hepatocyte regeneration and normalize general resistance of the organism, reduction of the negative impact of stress during regrouping, hypothermia, transportation, vaccination, intensive chemotherapy, changes in diet and housing conditions, as well as to accelerate the growth of animals during fattening. The supplement improves the conversion of feed due to its better assimilation, stimulation of digestive processes and digestibility of nutrients.
Method of application and dosage
Applied orally, individually and in groups, with water or food in the following doses per 10 kg of body weight per day:
- cattle, horses – 0.7-1 ml;
- the calf, the bad one – 1-1.5 ml;
- adult pigs – 1-2 ml;
- piglets, sheep, goats – 0.5-1 ml;
- gosenyas, lambs – 0.4-1 ml;
- dogs, cats, fur animals – 1-1.2 ml, with babesiosis, leptospirosis – 3 ml;
- poultry (including pigeons and ornamental ) – 1-2 ml per 1 liter of water.
The daily dose can be divided into two parts and given at intervals of 10-12 hours, the course – 5-10 days, if necessary, and especially in case of liver damage – 15-20 days.
Reservation
Personnel in contact with the drug must follow the general sanitary and hygienic rules.
Do not exceed the recommended doses. With a significant overdose in animals, there may be a decrease in appetite, gastrointestinal disorders due to the choleretic effect of feed additives.
