Pharmacological properties

Metronidazole belongs to the 5-nitroimidazole group. Dosage

Orally with food at a dose of 10-20 mg of metronidazole per 1 kg of body weight behind the active ingredient – twice a day for 5-7 days. If necessary, the treatment is repeated after 7-8 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to metronidazole, and also not used in animals with damage to the central nervous system and in the first third of pregnancy. Do not use in puppies and kittens.

Warning

It is necessary to use the drug with caution for animals with liver and kidney disease. The dose of the drug in such cases should be reduced accordingly. With prolonged use, it is necessary to control the composition of the blood.
