MULTIMAST TREATMENT OF MASTITIS
The drug is produced in the form of a white oily suspension with a slight specific odor. The drug is administered intracisternally.Composition The
number of active ingredients per 5 g syringe in mg:
-penicillin procaine;
– streptomycin sulfate: 100;
-neomycin sulfate: 100;
-prednisolone: 10;
The amount of excipients – up to 5 g.
Pharmacological action
Penicillin procaine is a penicillin antibiotic with bactericidal and antimicrobial properties. The drug is effective against various gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. The principle of action of the drug is based on the destruction of the synthesis of the cell wall in peptidoglycan and mucopeptide, thereby leading to a violation of the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, as well as preventing an increase in the number of microorganisms.
Streptomycin sulfatebelongs to the group of aminoglycosides of natural origin and is an antibiotic with high bactericidal and antimicrobial properties. The antibiotic has antimicrobial properties against a number of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, as well as penicillin-resistant and acid-resistant bacteria. The substance is most effective against microorganisms during the breeding season and less effective against bacteria during the dormant period. The antimicrobial effect of the substance is to block the protein synthesis of bacterial cells. Streptomycin helps to reduce edema.
Neomycin sulfate belongs to the category of naturally occurring aminoglycosides and a subgroup of neomycin.
Neomycin is considered an antibiotic with high antimicrobial properties, has a broad spectrum of action against a number of gram-negative, gram-positive microorganisms, as well as cocci. The antimicrobial effect of the substance is to block the protein synthesis of bacterial cells
Prednisolone is a dehydrated analogue of the substance hydrocortisone. Prednisolone carries the same pharmacological properties as compounds in this category. They are effective desensitizing and anti-inflammatory compounds, have anti-shock, anti-toxic, anti-allergic effects.
Application The
Veterinary agent is used to treat mastitis of various forms and degrees of infection with bacterial etiology.
Dosage
