1. Praс-tic is an insectoacaricidal drug in the form of a solution for external use, designed to combat insects and ixodid ticks parasitizing dogs, as well as to protect animals from their attack.
2. Praс-tic contains pyriprol – 12.5% as an active ingredient and auxiliary components – butylhydroxytoluene and diethyl glycol monoethyl ether.
3. In appearance, the preparation is a colorless or yellow solution.
4. Produce Praс-tiс packaged in 0.45 cm3 (for dogs weighing 2-4.5 kg); 1.1 cm3 (for dogs weighing 4.5-11 kg); 2.2 cm3 (for dogs weighing 11-22 kg) and 5.0 cm3 (for dogs weighing 22-50 kg) in polypropylene pipettes of appropriate capacity, packed in 3 pieces in aluminum foil blisters. Blisters are placed in 1, 2, or 10 pieces in cardboard boxes along with instructions for use.
Each blister and box is marked in Russian with an indication of the manufacturing organization, its address, and trademark, the name, the purpose of the method of application, the volume of the drug in the pipette, the number of pipettes in the package, the name and content of the active ingredient, batch number, date of manufacture, expiration date, storage conditions, the inscription “For animals”, the state registration number and information on the confirmation of conformity.

The drug’s shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Prac-tic® after the expiration date should not be used.
II. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
5. Piriprol, which is part of the drug, belongs to the class of phenylpyrazole, has a pronounced insecticidal and acaricidal effect against the imaginal and preimaginal phases of development of insects parasitizing on dogs, including fleas (Stenocephalides canis), lice (Tognatus setotus) canis), as well as ixodid ticks – Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor variabilis, Amblyomma americanum.
The mechanism of action of pyriprol is based on interaction with chlorine channels, including the neurotransmitter-dependent gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which blocks the pre- and postsynaptic transport of chlorine ions across cell membranes. This leads to a disruption in the transmission of nerve impulses, causing the death of insects and ixodid ticks.
After drip application of the drug to the skin, pyriprol is gradually distributed over the animal’s coat, providing an insectoacaricidal effect.
6. Practitioner® according to the degree of impact on the body refers to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), does not have skin irritating and resorptive toxic properties; in recommended doses does not have embryotoxic and teratogenic effects. Well tolerated by dogs of different breeds and ages. The drug is toxic to bees, as well as fish and other aquatic organisms.
III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
7. Prac-tic® is prescribed for the purpose of eliminating fleas, lice, lice and ixodid ticks parasitizing on dogs, as well as to protect animals from their attack.
8. The drug is applied to animals once by drip (“spot-on”) application to dry intact skin.
Before use, break off the tip of the pipette, then, pushing the fur apart and pressing the pipette, the drug is applied to the animal directly on the skin in places inaccessible for licking – between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck. When processing large animals, the contents of the pipettes are applied to the skin at 2 – 3 points along the back line
9. The minimum therapeutic dose of Prac-tic® is 0.1 ml per 1 kg of animal weight, which is equivalent to 12.5 mg of pyriprol per 1 kg of animal weight. Depending on the weight of the animal, Prak-tik® is used in various packaging in the doses indicated in the table:
